most employers would find a way to blackball and fire the disabled worker.

never ever EVER trust the sociopaths in HR.

blum - How true, HR is an extension of the corporate culture. After one trip to HR a person is labeled a troublemaker and that person has for all intents and purposes placed a bullseye on their chest.

IMO, employers do not understand dementia and flat out do not care. If one were to have a brain tumor, that would be perceived differently.

This is one reason it is so key that education about dementia continue along with federal and private funding for research.

This comment certainly is not funny to me and certainly does not add to any serious discussion of this topic.

This headline makes no sense, as the article goes on to state that dementia onset is noticeably occurring at pre-retirement ages. Its occurrence is not a result of the economy or related to lengthened retirement ages.

Ever look at the layout of a Kohls store or take to a lowes or Home Depot employee about the marketing / purchasing department. There has been a problem with rational thinking in those companies for a long long time.
