Actually, the government WOULD let a card-carying Muslim run for President. Case In Point: Mitt Romney ran for the Republican nomination and he's NOT even a Christian (despite what he says). he's a Mormon. And NO Christian church that I know of, be it Roman Catholic, any Protestant church, nor the Orthodox churches, recognize Mormonism as a legitimate church.

It's simply NOT a Christian religion, nor denomination.
