Has anyone else had problems with the automotive department? Ever nottice how discriminating they are towards women in particular?

The service department is the worse service department ever , I feel! It is in my own personal opinion that Thornhills can't fix anything!
The men you come in contact with are rude and they think all women are stupid, in my opinion! They will lie to your face about anything and everything that is going on, they will jack up prices and lie to your face about it , they will tell you that something is covered at first and then hand you a bill and say it wasn't covered after all! So beware, they don't have any good mechanics either, in my opinion, they can never get anything fixed no matter how simple of a thing it may be you always gotta keep bringing it back over and over and over again!

I looked at a vehicle at Thornhill and asked the salesman to work up the numbers for me and asked him to call me and let me know what my payments would be, etc., but he never called. I need a vehicle and will be purchasing one in Danville or Charleston.

I wan in the market to buy a car and went there to look. I picked one out and wanted to test drive it. The salesman wanted my name and address which was OK. Then he wanted my Social Security number. I asked why and he said he needed it before I could drive the car. I said no-way and left. Alittle later the sales manager called and wanted me to come back and drive the car I said no that when I came in I was ready to buy but his salesman caused me to fall out of the mood.

I went in for a service, Oil change and stuff. When they called my name I paid and went home. My husband checked the car and said that the oil wasn't changed and even had the same oil filter and took the car back. To make a long story short they never admited anything but they did change the oil and filter that time gave us a free one to boot.

Yep, been there.... asking for an SSN is an old trick, and an illegal one. They want to run your credit while you're out test driving. Without your permission. That way they can see how hard to press you for a big loan, or tell you to blow off if you're score is too low.

On service... I bought a used [near new] vehicle there. Took it home and 3 days later started getting a funny smell while driving. I later found gunk growing in the big map pockets on back of the front seats.
I dug it out and it appeared to be old dog food that had molded.
I took it back and wanted them to clean it or fix the problem.
Their answer? Too bad, so sad. Should've had that taken care of during the sale. So I go pick it up and it looks like someone had either hit the front bumper or hit something while driving my vehicle... complained about that... said we will check into it. Never called back, I never called them. I'll be buying 3 vehicles in the next 4 years. Guess where I won't be buying from??

Thornhill is scum.

I had always bought GM cars at Thornhill. Anyways, I totaled a Malibu and went to buy another new one. The salesman told me that he couldn't come down on the sticker price a cent. Orders from the top. I went down the road and saved Thousands (4) of dollars on a Toyota. Practically named my price. GM have been planning this bail-out for a long time. Looks like it might just bite them in the a$$.Now my wife loves her new work car and probably wont buy another GM.

I don't think they will starve to death by missing your 3 deals over the next 4 years. Your credit is probably too jacked up to buy anyways

[My credit is great and I went to buy a new Acadia....they told us they didn't have to take a cent off the price and we left. I called a friend who works for Moses. We went to Barboursville and bought a new Acadia 4,000 off the sticker. Cash...I will never go back to Thornhill....Moses has been very good to us!

I come from a very large close knit family...mess with one of us and lose a lot of business from this area. I went in for a recall notice I recieved on my vehicle. I was told it wasn't covered on my vehicle and they tried to charge me $1500 for repairs. I called Detroit and they sent me to another service department who checked my vehicle and repaired it for free!....bad business thornhill!

I bought a car from thornhill used said it had never been any accidents asked for a carfax never got one. My car had been wrecked several times. I got rid of it. I will only go to Paul White Chevrolet. They treat you like you have a million dollars in your pocket even if you dont. Service department is awesome you have a problem with your car they will get it in and fixed in a timely manner. But the best part is they treat you with respect no matter how rich or poor you are.
