Well, against Scott they played somewhat poorly against a very young team that had their missing center sitting on the bench. Hurst shot the ball pretty good, but no one else played good at all. Scott played fundamentally sound especially passing the ball to the open player. Our boys do have potential, but they are not playing as a team. I say this one more time.I truly cannot understand why the Chapmanville boys cannot compete when they become varsity players. They seem to always have good Junior High teams. I truly believe Casto needs to have more playing time and the tenth grade point guard needs to learn how to shoot the ball. Hey coach, why don't you have players like Denver and Dalton shoot about 200 shots after practice every day.Looks like another long year in Tigertown.

Who is that #22 kid? I seen them play twice this year and he has had a great 2nd half both games.

Well, in case you don't know, Denver quit. Everybody knew that was coming including the staff and all inside Tiger Fans. Denver played "Zero" Defense and has always quit everything he started. Dalton is a sophmore that may become the best point guard at Chapmanville in 20 years. He does need to work on his shooting but doesn't look to score much, probably a little timid about shooting. He'll be ok, he's scappy, just small. Casto will play more, as will Johnny and Brady. The best thing happened was Denver left, everybody was just waiting.

Poor old Chapmanville goes out and hires Harry Kirk to make them a better basketball team. When Harry leaves they hire a respected Allen Hatcher, who comes to town with a little heavy baggage. Years ago the great planners should have been developing young players like they do at other schools who want to to the ones who shine. A great high school coach can only coach who wants to play. You can tell that Hatcher is in every game. A fan told me he probably sweats more than his players.Harry had some success as the Tigers coach and Hatcher will do the same, but it going to take some time.I'm very surprised they are not more gifted basketball players at CRHS. I have seen a lot of old Harts Teams over the last 30 years that could beat a team like the Chapmanville team has this year and the old Lions have always been a Single A team..I can no longer cheer for the Lions, but I do cheer for the Tigers. Also, I would like to know where is all the Harts Kids Usually enjoy playing basketball. Coach Harry really had a way to take an average player and make him a really good player before the season was over.Players like Jason Eldridge, Brandon Kirk, Scott Frye, Norvin Ramey, Jeff Lambert, and others would have never been the good players they were if they didn't have someone like Harry as their coach. Only time will tell if Hatcher has these same qualities as Harry did.

The Tigers truly need one more good guard to make them a pretty good team. Against Sissionville they played real good, but you could see the need for one more good guard. Shame on you Smitty for quitting. I had a felling that Denver would be quitting, but not Smitty. Got to give credit to the boys who are still on the team because they are the true Tiger hard nosed ball players. Plumley impressed me with his toughness..Glad I got to go to the game.

In the real world, when you quit you're job, school or anything else you go hungry. These boys should nevr have been allowed to quit. Anything worth starting is worth finishing. At their age this sets a precident in their life that will be hard to overcome latr, when it really matters. Sometimes you just have to endure the bad for the good of the team. If a boss at work bad mouthes you and you have a family to support, can you afford to quit? Life is not fair and you will not always be able to depend on somebody else to pay the bills. This whole generation is this way....

Nobody quit when Coach Elkins was in charge because he was a little easy on how he treated the boys. Coach Kirk was a lot tougher and more demanding. A few packed their bags and left. Old Hatcher is a lot like Coach Kirk. I don't want to blame everything on Smiitty because he is only a teenager. He was one heck of a basketball player last year and a tough nosed football player. Maybe the coaches pushed Smitty to quit to make room for another starter who has Grandparents that are in the Hall Of Fame at Chapmanville, and maybe I am a little wrong on my opinion about this Tiger team.

the players should treat the coaches with respect and quit acting like spoiled brats that quit if they don't get their way. If more parents would support the coaches and not think that whatever sport their child plays on was only created for their baby you would see success in all sports at Cville these same "stars" still have to learn that life don't care if they can dribble catch or hit a ball but it does care if they can be a team player I guess they can always stay home & let you tell them how "mean" the world is to them while you pay their bills til they turn 50

Your making people sick with this "Karma" crap. It's not Karma that bites people, it's life. Denver had costly technical fouls called because he is a hot head, he walked around on the court and finally quit and cryed about the coaches paying favoritism then. True Denver is a young, but not a kid, but he is also a quitter. He quit last year and quitting is his history. When history looks at Denver and sports, quitter will be how he is remembered. Karma????????? grow up.

Why in the hell would anybody be jealous of Denver or Smitty? They are selfish, they think of themselves and make excuses? Jealous?? Tell me why anybody would be jealous? Neither was actually very good in sports tht's for sure. They quit, Jealous? This may be the stupidest of all these post.

If you look at these young men you should see for yourself But everyone has an opinion, People should not call young men names,
Just because those boys quit playing ball don't make them a quiter
Karma I believe in it, if you don't, wait and see, God bless you hating on high school boys
I am proud of the boys for quitting and not staying on the team and being treated bad and unfair
