Chapmanville football winners or losers?

I have watched a few games the past two seasons.
What I have noticed are a few things.
They cannot defend the pass.
30% of their plays make no sense at all.
Jake robinson has the higher success running off tackle. Try to keep it in mind. The 34 0r 32 power isn't working after 7 attemps.
The other running back would have better success if he followed his blockers. Great speed and a sense for the end zone though.
They have tremendous speed and great core of recievers. They will get better.
Their quarterback...easterling. excptional !
Their cornerback and safety has height coverage and bumpand run problems. Hope you can fix it. One way is to not hold potential players back. hmmm Mike Hauser is not the fastest kid . But from what i have saw he is a hitter and has a sense for the ball. His problems are that he is a transfer and no one knows about him. 2 interceptions in two games This year and tremendous hits !
The line bitches too much.. Learn to control the severe angle blocking . People are not holding you. When the refs come up to me after a game and laugh about your bitching , its time to cowboy up and geter done.
The intensity is almost a state calibre team. learn to wrap and hit when there is a tackle . I have reviewed the game films and the secondary needs to quit trying to go for the pick and HIT !!
The coaching staff.... failure to make adjustments seems to be a reacurring theme.
If a reciever...aka#10 hoover catches a touchdown across the middle...please adjust. You did not and there were a few more scores and extra points where you did not adjust for the pass. You will get your ass handed to you at Scott if you dont.
Kick the damn ball for extra points. You have a great kicker. Use him !
The coaching staff seems to be too friendly instead of going for the throat. apologize after the game and get the win.
You are being out coached.
I hope you do well this week. But, Griff is smarter than you.
You have a great set of young men in your program. Stay up late and get it done. Because he will confuse you with routes and wide line gaps to create the illusion of penetration by your defensive line. It should be an interesting game.
a ninth grader is rocking the running game. I wish draven well.
Kenny green ...well watch and learn. Lets have some fun and hope you bring your A game.

I am a cville fan....and I have talked to jake and a few others....If you dont know much about your team... That is you own problem.
It is ok to go to the game for entertainment. Yet if you know football. which I think I have a fair grasp of... it would behove the team to make adjustments. This is just me , as one smal voice , doing what topix is intended to do.
If what I said made you stoop to only a go f..k yourself comment, well, become educated about your team and the game and dont hide behind the "we all love each other stuff".
There is a bond thru the gruelling summer months of practice that you would fail to grasp if you have never played the game. The love you think you feel toward another of your community pales beside young men who sweat, battle and get beaten and try to win together.

first off size don't matter i know cause i played for the tigers and i know what it's all about. Second as a fan or a coach you must believe in your team and the coaches ability to make play calls. When it comes to winning and losing all that matters is how you act when your winning or losing this sometimes shows what kind of team you have. loosing can sometimes show what kind of team you have, it'll determine if they keep there heads up and go after the next game as a hungrier attitude and this also makes a team share that common goal of winning and this brings a team together whether it's sharing battles with each other on the field or helping one another off the field this makes them a family cause they stick together, they may fight with one another once in a while but this only makes them closer to each other as brothers. so i say chapmanville is winners cause they can get punched in the mouth and by god! they will keep on coming. FAMILY.

AND SCOTT CAN GO FU@K THEM SELVES

This is true, we at the Ville are family, that is why our schools all make AYP and actually get along. People from other schools love to bash us because we do take up for one another.

They had to merge schools to get all the good players from Harts. When the Harts kids had to go to Chapmanville the team mascot should have been the Lion! But no they wouldn't do that. They could've at least called the team the LIGERS. A Liger is a cross between a Lion and a tiger, and they exist look it up. But no the Harts kids had to get stuck with Tigers. I say Lions forever!

i think c-ville has potential.they do need work though,

Hopefully they will take the dis od the hoover loss and learn something .
They could have beat sherman last year in the final seconds if they had played wisely. Instead they went with their emotions and it cost a great group a playoff loss.
Terry should not have ran the ball. He was basically exhausted. He had done his part and then some. It was time for Someone else to carry that load. Yet , the coaches wanted Something else.

I saw the game and two refs talked to me after the game. Soccrmom is right. If we , the uneducated can figure we have a problem, the coaching staff should makeon the spot adjustments to fix it.
Two of the refs even asked if the were going to guard #10. he had no answer.
we want to see the kids do well and winning an losing is not as important as what they learn from it. But, we as parents and fans would like to see the talent pool used wisely.
#11 Sep 6, 2010
I guess the coaches decided to not guard #10, huh? yeah, right.
Looks like "soccrmom" and "football dad" is the same guy trying to stir up sh!#.

2 tiger22 if u run between the tackles instead of running toward the sideline u would have a little bit more heart. The coaching staff a c-ville are morons, I have set and watched ever since george came to town, they do not know how to adjust in a ballgame, they cannot focus but on a certain bunch of kids. They want to play a 22 man team in doubleA highschool u do not have the talent to play that skeem. You put your best 11 on the field, u rotate players in and out and u stick w/what is working for u. You cut the other teams throat as quick as u can because believe me they will do u if they get a chance. The next four games that c-ville plays will be the test for george, he has to win all to put confidence back in his team. And yes I am a true tiger forever.

lol, i watch every game, and i am a tiger fan, aswell. but, if you can't see chapmanville's secondary needs work, you're BLIND.

I have went to cville, now my kids live and play at cville.
It could only take a moron to think I am stirring things up. But if that is the case I hope it is for the improvemnet of the team.
The have an oppottunity to have a great year.
This is not open to trying to ruin a program but sharing an insight to helping one get better.
I would have hoped they would have fixed the problem by now. The williamstown game showed the weakness, They have played 8 man scrimages all summer against some of the best teams in the state.
What I saw last friday was an amazing team comeback and do there city proud.
what I have a problem with is that thru coaching errors they could have elimainated this in the first half.
example: the are confused in the cross-buck handoff from hoover. You think it will get any better with the scott team.
The defensive line had troubles on and off with the other teams blocking scheme.
Height was an iSsue . yET SPEED WAS NOT !
The strong points were, the running game going off tackle.
The j pass to the backs.
a great quarterback ! a good offensive line.
The Mendez Boys having fun in the stands.
#15 Sep 6, 2010
You are too stupid to comment. I watched no one on the coaching staff working on stopping the pass to any effective response.
Jesus... it was great they scored with 1:30 left. The stand were romping !
But did they not know they could not stop the pass and they have not scored but one extra point all nite?
Run the clock down and go out fighting.
Neveen Honeycutt is a much better passer than the one the played at hoover.
If they cant decide to bring in a taller corner, at least try a bump and run defeense that gives the line some time to sack the guy !
Bottom line: It is not frustrating for me to see the kids lose. That happens.
What is frustrating is watching the coaches snatch defeat from the jawas of victory !

Stop the pass. Stop the run. I'll pass that insightful information to the coaches.
#17 Sep 6, 2010
Hoover was don't that good to beat tiger. But they did!!!
#18 Sep 6, 2010
If they could stop you from posting idiotic replys that would make me feel like they had a chance at Scott.
Went to the jv game. Some kid in the secondary had an interception for a toouchdown and numerous tackles.
#19 Sep 6, 2010
Chapmanville didn't hardly get ANY football players from Harts
#20 Sep 7, 2010
I wouldn't really know about the Harts thing.
I would know that if they did get some they would be an aset to a team that lacks hitting skills and intensity. Don't get me wrong. There are a few hitters. I saw a few get hits and get up and a few that have delivered the wood.
I am surprised that more of the kids from lake and the surrounding areas dont get involved in the fest. The woody boys are fun to watch as well as Joe payens kid and a few others. I stillthink that the mike h. kid who just returned a int for a touchdown should get some time before the season runs down. 3 int and a touchdown in 3 games. 2 jv and 1 varsity.
