First of all only 1 mentioned is a good basketball player. Yeah, the Tolsia player. Secondly, are you talking about this year only?. Last year, how many were from Chapmanville? Buddy league is horrible, poor coaching until they get to high school. Best answer I can give.

Dustin Smith is from Chapmanville and by far one of the best basketball players on the team....From what I can see he is the only one that can play defense....Martin is nothing but a show boat that needs to realize he is not a point guard....He is lazy and how many 3 point shoots does he make....3 for 20.....

They would be bad without the Tolsia kid. Dustin Smith the best player?? You've already said enough to show you know absolutely nothing about basketball.

Chapmanville loses another one good job tolsia boy......2 for 7 in the first half yeah he is great.....Since you know so much about basketball......If Dustin was a ball hog and shot everytime he shot the ball maybe he would be as good as Martin.......

if dustin smith is so so good then why does he come of the bench mister know it all from chapmanville. son i have played so much basketball that the sweat from my old jock strap would make you a great place to go swimming. when i played for harts high we were good. not only was our team good but we dusted the old tigers by 22 points in a pre-season game back in the 1970s. apparently you dont know very much about the game of basketball or you would play.

i just hate to see chapmanville regional boys who do have good basketball ability sit and watch the games when they could be playing. a lot of potential players just dont want to play for harry kirk i guess. i like old harry ,but i feel a little sorry for him and the boys when the best players get hurt and their replacements are underclassmen. the only reason mckenzie shoots so much is because harry has a lot of confidence in him and big mack is truly a good shooter most of the time. go tigers.

Why does everything involving basketball have to be about "where a child lives?" Who cares if they had someone transfer from another school or if they are from Ferrellsburg or Harts? That is sincerely the problem right now with the "ATTITUDES" of the players on the team, because so many people talk of this junk in front of them. If people would let the coaches do their jobs and quit the bitching they could surprise the fans. As far as Smitty, he is a good basketball player and does anything asked of him by his coach. Porter and Aldridge are very beneficial underneath and they play hard. Martin is very knowledgable about the game and has stepped up when injury took over and the way I look at it, if Kirk or the McCanns did not want him shooting so much they would bench him. He does as he is directed, as do the other players. Wiley is quick and has improved on offense and really gets the opponent stirred up when he plays defense. Mullins also is quick on defense and hustles on both sides and when he gets on a roll, with his shooting, he hammers the 3's. What people seem to forget about, the majority of the time, is the kids in mention here are still just KIDS. By the way most of them play the game, we tend to forget about that. The people that want to sit back and bad mouth the players, when they miss a shot or turn the ball over or don't make the right pass, need to remember that regardless who they are or where they live, they ALL REPRESENT CRHS. I would be ashamed if I was so shallow as to be on a website, not intended for this pointless bullshit, trying to put CHILDREN down just to justify why your child is not out there. They could have tried out like everyone else. Funny that if they had won the last several games, everyone would just LOVE all the players and have nothing negative to run their pathetic mouths about. But that is what you get when you are dealing with some ignorant "know it all" who is a little upset that they have had a few hard games. REALIZE, when you decide to say something nice or don't say nothing at all, ATTITUDES of everyone (including fans) would change. If you don't like the way they are trying to build a basketball program at CRHS, then save your $5 and don't come to anymore games. After all that is the one sport that children in this area are talented at, but it is the "overlooked" sport of C-Ville. Nothing against any other C-ville sport, but basketball is their weakest, because no one has ever cared enough to build a solid program for our boys and girls. Whether people want to see it or not, this group of boys, if they work together and let Kirk coach them, could make it to Charleston in March and that my friend would be C-Ville history. SUPPORT CRHS BASKETBALL & COACHES!

Oh and I did leave out Cook, to give him credit, we are glad he is back too and he has played two good games and has been hitting his shots, beautifully. He is a go-getter on defense and all the fans just want him to take care of himself, because he is needed on the court.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!!! Danny Godby and Ted Ellis had good basketball programs long before now. Your "no one has ever cared enough to build a solid program" is absolutely stupid. If you knew Coach Godby or Coach Ellis you know they are knowledgeable and worked day and night. They had solid teams and their programs were respected. You had some valid points but let's get that one corrected, it's not coaching that keeps us from the state tournament then or now, it's a combination of things. Kids dedication and believing is one of the biggest ones. Selfishness, leadership, and character, parents are some but not all the others.

Here we go again. The Panthers beats the Tigers by 20 or more, Mr. Aldridge breaks his hand when he punches the wall in practice, Porter tears his ACL, Cook is about 75 percent, Mullins is in a shooting slump, Martin can only do so much, and the rest of the Tigers are very limited on what the can do on the court. Hang in there Coach Kirk because good things will eventually happen. You still have the support of many loyal fans. To bad you had to leave good old Harts High School because of forced consolidation from the great state of West Virginia. Its really sad that the state can just close the little Class A schools like Harts and keep the big schools in tact. When old Harts closed the community almost died, Just the other night I went to a Junior High game at Harts and the new gym was filled to capacity which I do believe is 500 people.

You know it is so sad that people have to sit and bash any kid on that court...it doesn't matter where they are from!! They are all CRHS students and play for the Chapmanville Regional High School Tigers. Maybe if the fans were more supportive of all of them everything would be better!! How dare anyone say anything about any child that is on that court...they all try to do their best. No one wants to make the shot more than the kid that shoots it....no one wants to make the other team miss more than the kid playing defense...no one wants to make the foul shot more than the kid shooting it. Why don't you so-called fans cheer these kids on...all of them regardless of where they are from and see what they can do when they have a community behind them.

This Harts, Chapmanville crap has to stop. Nobody gives a rats tail if the kid is from "Manns Knob" or "Browns Run", we could care less as fans. There is no "Harts Creek" anymore or "Chapmanville High School". If Harts don't like it and want to exist in the past get back to "the creek". If Chapmanville don't like it, get over it, we are a "Regional" school. The coaches and people promote this division from "facebook" to "newspapers", ex-players and coaches exploit it. Quit living in the past and find a school you can support wherever it is and support it. Logan and Madison could use you. I will support the Tigers.
