It may have been a disaster practice drill. I read somewhere (Logan Banner) possibly that there will be a drill this week. I may be wrong but I would bet that is what was going on.

i have a scanner and i love it and if you have the numbers that are up to date you can here every thing i dont think its crap i have had mine for 15 yrs and i love it and so does all my family that is handy and i personaly dont think it is crap i dont like the new system that well but it is good and it was in the logan banner that they was gonna have a practice drill for the new paramedics and that was on the scanner and they have been several over doses this and last week too and a lot people trying to kill there wifes and lot of people trying to steal at walmart so every one has a opinion so if you dont like it dont listen

Well numbnuts those channels are assigned to 911, Police and E.M.S. We buy scanners to ease drop on their business. and since the channels are assigned to them they kinda have to use them when they are in service.

well i dont see that it is ease dropping if they dont want us knowing anything then they should stop saling scanners so you know i live my scanner and i dont care who dont like theres dont listen to it sale it and no matter what number that they put in i can find it easy and simple so i guess i am nosey and i happen to love it and so does eveyone else where i live and i happen to like it in the winter time about school delays and road conditions and even when someone i know is sick or hurt and i have called the 911 several times and even helped get on harts creek and give them directions because with the new drivers coming and going they dont know where to go so I AM A NOSEY A$$ PERSON AND IF I CAN HELP THEM TO GET WHERE THERE GOING WHEN THERE IS ELDERY PERSON IN NEED I WILL DO IT BECAUSE OUR DAM AMBULANCE IS ALWAYS COVERING LOGAN, CHAPMANVILLE, MAN AND TAKING PEOPLE TO HUNTINGTON OR CHARLESTON
