Ok, over a year ago Juan Vasqez and his son, Thomas Vasquez were murdered. I know this. It was in the paper every day for almost 2 weeks. The paper alluded that at least one of the victims; Thomas Vasquez, was pretty brutally murdered.
An arrest was made within i think that 2 week period, and one Kim ChiNu charges with 2 counts of 1st Degree Murder and 3 counts of felony Murder and sundry other charges.

But since then we have heard Jack.

Could someone please explain what is being hidden here, with of course the assent, if not the assistance of the various "News sources" in Clarksville, the Leaf Chronicle, Clarksville Online, Clarksville info.net .

Why do I suspect that there is a lot more to this than we are being told?

Why do I suspect the it is not Kim Chinu's reputation being protected?

Where are the Journalists who are supposed to be serving clarksville and why are they not asking these questions?

not much information has been released because clarksville is a military town and the DA doesn't want this murderer to generate any sympathy from retired military people that are more than likely to be on the jury in this town. despite the fact this guy was kicked out of the military, all you have to say here is military and he must automatically be a good guy in most people's mind here.

believe me my dad and brothers reputation isn't being protected by a lack of info. more like hurt, because speculation runs wild when people are left to make their own versions of the story, but there will be a time to release the facts. my dad and brother were upstanding citizens who lived good lives. so maybe you should get some facts before you make assumptions next time. don't worry when the facts do come out my family will have nothing to hide and chinu kim's date with old sparky will be set.

Rest assured, if he was kicked out of the Military Retirees are the last people he wants on his Jury. And undoubtably a date with the chair is his just desserts.

But after hearing the details of nearly every major offense in this town, the media and the police are strangely silent here. And after all how could he generate any sympathy with anyone?

About a year ago something happened to a very good man, who was good friends with my dad. And Thomas who was someone I've know as a little boy and watched grow up every year at stokes field. When I heard about what happened I got on my knees and prayed for both Jaun, Thomas and his family. I live in Orlando now, but I still think of what happened. My heart truly goes out to that family. To me, it seems like everyone is trying to make a damn soap opera out of the Vasquez name, but from someone who new Jaun jr, and his twin brothers, and his dad they were good people and always will be. I don't know the story, but all I do know is I hope whoever did this pays, and pays hard. Jaun loved his family, I always saw him with his kids teachin them how to be athletes, spending time with his kids, doing what a good father does. So just know that my heart truly goes out to that good family, and God is watching over them, as for the other side. God has something for that. We will know the truth within time. sometimes it just requires a little patience.

I am just writing to console the greiving family. Although people may be in a hurry to know the reasons why something happened, there still remains the fact that this is a democratic country where one is innocent until proven guilty. You don't want someone who is guilty to walk away free due to some administrative mistakes, do you? And you don't want an innocent person convicted of a crime they didn't commit, do you? I am sorry for your loss and feel your pain. I am sure that the trial of the "suspect" will begin when the prosecution can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he is guilty, otherwise, he walks free. Patience is a virtue. You will see justice served, it will just take time.

Will Justice be done, or will it all get swept under the rug?
The truth is out there, but maybe someone feels we don't need to hear it.
I can hear all about Kevin Federline, Brittany Spears, Linday Lohan, OJ, a Murdered American Tourist in the Bahamas, the list is endless.
I can read about a soldiers motives for osibly killing his wife, who has not been arrested yet in a m,urder investigation nearly a hundred miles away in another state.
But someone(some group?) in Clarksville has decided that murders within 5 miles of my home is something I don't need to hear about?

Juan Jr and dsv,
I sympathize with your pain and frustration. As I've expressed on another thread I too feel I have been ill served by the "justice system" of Clarksville. Having said that, I'll also say from personal experience that you must try to move on and not let this consume you. Your father and husband would rest better knowing his family had some life left to live. My advice is to pursue justice and not "forgive and forget", but try to find the balance to go on with your lives and make them productive. I wish you peace.

I read all this and like many I want answers. And i wanted to send just a little message and a story. Juan was a great man, and everyone knows that. and if you don't believe how hurt i am still to this day just look at my myspace blog and you'll see. I many i went through disbelief, sadness, more sadness and now anger. Juan was mine and my husband dance instrutor. We only went for a short time but thanks to him, me and my husband got back together instead of getting the big "D" word. And i never got to thank him for that. And i guess that is why I am so hurt at what happened. I never met thomas but juan did talk about him. I guess i am what you call the silent type. I greave in the shadows where no one can see me. I remember going after the funderal and just standing there in disbelief with tears in my eyes. I can't count how many times I when to their grave. I can't count the dozens of roses that i put on the grave. and too this day i still go. I watch the papers and anytime i get a new article i keep it, everytime hoping that there is some justice, but like we all know, there still is none. Hope that someday there will be a justice and maybe some peace for all of us. but to make this short, to the family: KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! JUSTICE WILL COME! THERE WILL BE JUSTICE "FOR THE MODERN DAY SUPERMAN" AND HIS SON..WOLFCALLER

i met this family when i was still in elementary school. eva and the twins were the first people and friends i met when i moved here in 95. eva used to invite me over for sleepovers on the weekends. and we'd all play together. when i heard what happened, im sad to say it didnt even hit me until the funeral, then i was real, and i felt a pain like no other pain i have ever experianced. i know that my pain is just a tiny fraction of the pain the remaining family must feel. i can only imagine... so when the one year came up. i went a day early, i just couldnt handle the memorial the next day, but going early did nothing for me, it was just as painful. those two were both amazing special people. i know many havent heard much from the media, but i can only hope its beacuse when we do hear something, it will be an overwhelming ammount of justice. and i think for the memorial this year, i will definatly be there. because i can pray for jaun and thomas any where and every where, and i do. but the family who was left behind to deal with this, they need our support. and they have mine 100%!

I just want the family to know that there are people out there who support the family. Who want to know answers and want justice. I have been posting blogs and sending bulletins on myspace as well @ www.myspace.com/krunkmasterflex . And I know there are others who have been doing the same. Before I found this, I also wrote the Leaf Chronicle Editor an email wanting answers and asking for follow ups on this case. And I will not be one to give up on this either. I will keep pushing for this. Both of these wonderful wonderful men have been a big inspiration to our community. There are few of us in this town who have used a generic letter to the editor requesting more information on this case.

And this is the response I get.

We've written everything we know about the case. If you know of something new please let us know. And Tiphany, you really need to write an original e-mail. The one you sent me is a copy of several I've already received with idential wording.

Thanks for you interest

AND I WROTE HIM BACK:

Dear Gene,

Why is is necessary to have an "original" email. You state that you have received several identical emails, that right there should prove that there are several people interested in this case. We as friends and family of the victims have come together to seek justice. And does it really matter that we all have one letter that we are sending to seek the justice that we want for our dearly loved friends and family who were FORGOTTEN. As a reporter for the news paper I would have thought that there would be some sort of follow up in this case since it is so huge to our community. I think there is more that could be printed in the paper, as the public would love to know. Here are some ideas:

Where is the person in custody from?
Who are his parents?
Where did he go to school?
Who visits him in jail?
Who are his attorneys?

What did he do for a living?
Is he a gang member?
When will they hold court again?
Is the person is custody still being held at the Montgomery County Jail?
Did he sign a full confession?
How is the Vasquez family dealing with his loss?
What happened to the organizations that Juan Vasquez was affiliated with?
I heard that a Street was named after him, where is it at? I have not been able to find it!
I heard that the guy in custody fired his attorneys. Is that true and WHY?

All I am trying to say is that we want this to not be forgotten. You give more coverage on things that we could care less about, but yet you are letting a double homicide that happened right here in our community just die out as if it never happened!

Sincerely,
Tiphany Webster

Maybe juan vazquez jr. should be the one to explain it! sometime when you do bad things to bad people they do bad things back. He isnt what he seems now is he. I think i speak for everyone when i say his actions are what caused all of this to begin with. It's terrible that those things happened to him family, but if he wasnt involved in drugs and violence it wouldnt have happened. People dont just come after people in such a terrible way for no reason.

Everyone is always so quick to blame the police department. I have friends and family in the clarksville police department. I was also born and raised in clarksville, and I think that it is disturbing that every time a drug related incident isn't paid as much attention to than others doesn't make it the polices fault. I think the issue is deeper than everyone thinks. Two very good people were hurt but not because of the police! We all know what juan was into
