As Carmack walked out of the House chamber, every single Representative from the southern States gave him a cheering standing ovation because the understood how he feel being a native born southerner and this became the front page headlines in every major newspaper throughout the South the next week and from that day he went down as a true southern hero. There are only four statues on the capital grounds in Nashville and one of those is of Rep. Carmack. Another little note, Carmack Blvd. in Columbia is named for him as well as a large monument and small park just west of Oaks and Nichols funeral home in Columbia.
The reason for the capital letters is not for shouting but he gave the speech, he put more emphasis on that last sentence. Hope this helps our Northern friends and you are our friends, to understand us a little bit better.

Edward Ward Carmack was a great statesman and his words were true felt by all Americans. Thank you for the history lesson, what a patriot. Despite what you may have heard, people in the rural North went through hard times, fewer generations, and farming very fertile land without....grandparents from Sweden and Norway, Ellis Island and Nova Scotia.My grandfather farmed with draft horses all of his life, slept with a window open a 30 below. We are Americans. Your capital letters bring no offense to me, thank you for sharing.

History is exactly that. Gone. Today the South is represented by people who are still stuck in the past. They are people of prejudice, who still use the word Yankee as a derogative term against people from the outside. They resist new ideas especially if it comes from the outside, not because the idea is not a good one, only because it came from the outside. They don't like people who show their intelligence. They are easily intimidated by that. The South hasn't changed, and because they resist they continually will be left behind as everyone else advances.

I believe as the south grows in population due to the migration of "Westerners","N ortherners", "Mid-Westers" this will change. My children and grandchildren will help with this change. There are many "Southerners" who welcome this.:)

Yes, there are people getting arrested in this county accused of stealing the sun and the moon both.

And I try to tell these people that if you look up at the sky outside, you will see it's still there. I didn't steal it. I can show you videos, pictures and witnesses to show you its still there. I've been doing this for 6 - 7 months now. Come On!

If someone is arrested in this town why does the courthouse not have any record of it?

I don't even have to see your whole post to know you are chasing a paper tiger. Don't be too quick to call that loophole. According to Forbes:
This is not a loophole. It’s tax fraud. Those are two totally different things. And Channel 13 knows it.
A loophole is an ambiguity. There’s nothing ambiguous about what’s going on here: this kind of fraud simply isn’t allowable under the Tax Code. The credit that the report refers to is the Additional Tax Credit and it’s claimed on a federal form 8812. The credit is for certain taxpayers who get less than the full amount of the child tax credit – it is not some kind of loophole for undocumented workers to use to beef up their refunds. The rules for qualifying children still apply and it’s very clear that the credit is restricted to those children who are classified as “a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national, or a U.S. resident alien.
Too many people just see ONE article and accept it like it's the gospel truth. Check it out.
