We have used Doctor Harris for a number of years. We have also boarded out dogs with him. Dr Harris is a great vet. When my dog Tux was attacked by a pitbull. Dr Harris opened his office in the middle of the night to take care of our guy. Tux is a rather large dog.

He has also taken care of our chihuahua Nellie. Did a c section, and proudly helped bring five little babes into the world.

He's a great vet, resonable priced. I've never left his office feeling like I over-paid. Or that he didn't do a great job by me. Unlike a certain vets office in Lewisburg. Harris puts Story to shame!

As for his office staff, the people he has working there now are very helpful, and respectful.

I HAVE TAKEN MY TWO PUGS AND TWO CATS TO DR. HARRIS EVER SINCE I MOVED HERE.i HAVE NO COMPLAINTS IN REGARDS TO THE SERVICES HE HAS RENDERED NOR HIS STAFF. IN FACT HE OPENED THE OFFICE FOR ME LATE AT NIGHT WHEN MY MALE CAT HAD A SERIOUS KIDNEY INFECTION.THERE WAS NO HESITATION TO TREAT MY CAT THAT LATE AT NIGHT. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE STAFF EITHER. I AM PLEASED AND SORRY THAT SOME ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY VETERINARIAN SERVICES.i HAVE NEVER BEEN MISLEAD ON TREATING MY ANIMALS BY THEIR OFFICE OR STAFF.

You need to take responsibility for owning a pet! YOU not a veterinarian, are accountable for a detailed history of your pet's health and should make the veterinarian aware of any health issues your pet has. YOU, also have to accept financial responsibility for the costs of veterinary care ie an annual exam, annual bloodwork, urinalysis, heartworm medication, flea and tick control etc. It is obvious YOU declined this type of expense and your dog paid the price with her life. Don't own any animals ever again.!!!! And be honest and admit YOU are the one responsible for this fiasco, NOT Dr. Harris or any other victim YOU are trying to implicate!!!!

Dr. Harris is a good man. He has always been there when we needed him for our animals. If we couldn't make it to the vet because of our animal being to big, he would come to us. If we couldn't pay something in full, he would work it out with us. When my kids dog was hit by a car and had to be put to sleep, he stay with them and talk to them to make em feel better. He knows what he is doing.

Dr. Harris and his staff have done a great job with my horses, dogs, cats and even a pet rabbit. We have had after-hours and holiday calls and he always comes through. He has eased the pain for several of my large dogs in their last years of life (13 and 14 years old when they passed). He is competent and knowlegable. His staff has been kind and professional. I have been a client of his since 2005 and have no plans to go elsewhere for my veterinary services.

I have used greg Harris for years for my horses dogs cats ect. He has been great with me and been there for me in emergencies and he even got a vets second opinion when I had a very sick horse with very unusual illness. Every vet will have some people who do not agree how they treat their animal or have questions with treatment. And I agree with the others you shhould keep up your animals records yourself after all they are your responsibility. Vets can make mistakes just as much as anyone no vet has all the answeres or is perfect. Greg also is very reasonable on his prices and I have nothing but great things to say about him and I have been around and worked with all the vets in williamson county and surrounding counties.

I know personally that Dr. Harris is a great Vet! He has a total of FOUR doctors that work at his clinic. He also was the one who helped get Dr. Byrd established in this town and then she opened up a clinic 2 miles down the road (which honestly, is not very classy to do even if she left because of the office manager). The office manager is usually not liked by someone who is being called out on not paying their bill. However, she has discounted my bill when I have not been able to pay many of times. She is very kind, but has a job of running the clinic, which makes for times to be straight forward with people. The office staff he has there now is WONDERFUL! One of them actually meets me on Sunday's when so I can pick up my cat early!

The main thing I am thankful for most is that they are your emergency vet! They don't make you go somewhere else (like almost all other vets, including Dr. Byrd). I had to have him meet me on a Sunday when they were closed and help when a dog got hit by a car, that really is great service. He has been in this town for a long time and is absolutely wonderful.

There are always going to be different opinions of different people. I am sure though that it is not a total reflection of his job as a doctor.

One other thing to consider, having worked in the vet field, you do need to specify what you want done to your animal, and also if you use the Doctor's knowledge, you pay for it... that's how it always works. If you want your dog's heart to be listened to, ears to be checked out, legs to be felt, the stomach to be checked, skin to be looked out, check for knots, etc. be prepared to be charged for it... or it won't be done. They went to school to be educated on these things and paid for it. You didn't, so we have to pay for their knowledge.... just as we have to with human doctors.

I know when I worked at a Vet's office we saw so many clients daily and weekly...and we were just small animal... so I can't imagine large and small.

One last thing, the TRASH BAG, was probably cadaver bag... which is similar to a trash bag by looking, but is much more durable and is what all dead animals (even people) are put in.

Anyway, I would take your animals to him in a HEARTBEAT!!!:)

well you must be good friends with him. i'll bet he wouldn't do that for just anyone.
Actually.... Dr. Harris not only sees his clients at any hour of the day, even on holidays, he sees clients of Dr. Byrd's because she doesn't come in for emergency pet care... he will see ANYONE... because he cares about people and their pets!!

the new vet is much more reasonably priced when it comes to having to put an animal to sleep. she will also let you leave your animal in the car and she will come outside. dr. harris won't do that. i guess he'd rather you have to carry your dead animal out through the waiting room. how cruel.
Research your information better... or maybe you have just flat out lied... I have had 2 dogs put to sleep in my vehicle and twice he has come to my house, one of those times was at 2:00am... my 16yr old dog woke me up crying in pain. I called Dr Harris and he was so kind and gentle hearted with me on the phone... he was gracious enough to come yo my house and euthanize my pet... he stayed with me and my husband for over an hour and let us tell him stories ( I'm sure were boring to him) about OUR dog... he is truly a wonderful man. And his office manager is a great business person... she doesn't let people run all over Dr.Harris like they did 5 or 6 years ago... the staff tbstcwas there... were not there for the pets, public, or Dr.Harris... they were there for a pay check...

Dr.Harris works with all the shelters, individuals and rescues... he has saved hundreds of parvo puppies, pets hit by cars, gun shot victims and everything else you can think of... right now he has 7 dogs staying there that we pulled from a shelter that were on death row... he let's us keep these pets there and get them spay/neutered at a fraction of the cost down the road at Byrd's... we asked her to help our rescue... She said "no" ... some vet she is! HA!!!
