Pet laws in Marshall County (Chapel Hill)

I'm an Alabama boy living in Arizona and thinking of moving to Marshall County, TN. I have a daughter and grandchildren that live in Shelbyville, TN.
My question is about the pet laws, county and city. I have four small dogs, all under ten pounds, and I'm wondering about the number of dogs one is allowed in the Marshall County area. Where I live now, you are allowed to have three dogs if you live in the city limits and four dogs if you live in the county. I live in the county.
Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure if there is a limit law...never heard of that. I lived in Marshall County and had 5 big dogs but I was outside city limits and there were no animal restrictions.

There is no limit only a leash law that requires your dogs stay on your property.

Forget about calling the cops to enforce the leash law in Chapel Hill. They tell you it's an animal control issue, but as far as I know, we only have two animal control officers for the entire county.
My neighbor has two large dogs that continue to come on my property to harass the cats on my front or back porches. And the only help I've gotten from anyone is the off the record comment of shooting my neighbors dogs and burying them on the sly.
The last time I called the cops, the officer saw the neighbors dogs in my back yard and yelled at my neighbor over the fence, to come get his dogs. That was it; he didn't issue any tickets or go over to the neighbors house to talk to him any further.
What the h*ll is that sh*t? I could have yelled at my neighbor myself! I have and that does no good, thats why I called for the police to rectify the problem.
Whats it take to get some resolution? Would the police rather wait for my cats to get eaten or someone bit before they do something?
I love Chapel Hill, but sometimes it gets on my last nerve.

u could also press charges against ur neighbor by swearing out a warrant yourself

Look up trespassing laws in Marshall County and file a report. Or pay a lawyer to send a letter threatening to sue them. That will get their attention.
