My problem with the Hunters Crossing HOA at this time is the fact they are dragging their feet about giving the bank the final amount due (for HOA fees) so we can close on our home. It's the ONLY thing holding up the closing.
Basically, you are going to have to go to their offices, plant yourself right at reception and stand your ground, do not leave until they do what they are supposed to. They ARE nothing but a bunch of Nazi-like control freaks. There is NO reason why they can't take a few minutes to punch a few numbers in the computer or fax a sheet of paper with said numbers. You HAVE TO be strong and persistent with them.

Not quite sure if I will get a response back but it's worth a try. We are thinking about purchasing a home in Hunter's Crossing and I wanted to possibly get a few pros and cons about the subdivision. I'm so far hearing negative feedback about he control issues in the area, we are currently in Lakewood in Minooka which is not bad. Also, it worries me that the land is not developed and they stopped building. This makes me think that if the land is sold anyone can build whatever they want regardless of style, so the area could go down in value. The value really isn't that high right now as it is. Does anyone have any information pertaining to what is going on with the land? Are they planning on building or has the builder gone belly up?

Doesn't the HOA residences have to vote on any changes to the By Laws and once it is passed by the residence it has to be changed legally by an law firm? You just can't change the By Laws.
Are you sure that you can take the homeowner to small claims court for not paying $125.00 your legal fees would be more than $125.00.
Nice subdivision but the think you should focus on over grown lawns instead of non payment of HOA dues, children riding scooters, and bikes out their driveways without watching for cars, kids playing in the streets, dangerous situation, and 4th of July fireworks. Never heard of a HOA forbidding fireworks if the city says it is okay what power does the HOA have?
Thanks for your time.

To Common Sense: nazis are on the absolute opposite end of the spectrum from socialists. You may want to read up on your politics because you sound completely ignorant. "Common sense" for sure.
