Really? At that hour in the morning you could see that I had not purchased my city sticker, had to prowl around my vehicle, then write me a ticket? What gives them that right, other than them be "local lawdawgs".....huh? How about the drugs being pushed out of this community, or the officers I see passing drivers by, talking on the phone, not wearing seat belts? So today, I will pay the fine and get my sticker cause God forbid a local "lawdawg" gets frost on his gloves.....again. Unbelievable.

This is outstanding. Good to see that they go after those lazy asses that try to save a piddly $25 and then get it broke off when they get caught. If you would have bought it when you were supposed to you wouldn't be whining about it on Topix.

Not about money. Its about my privacy rights and snooping around my vehicle. There are a lot if crooks and thieves in this town. Yeah, we overlooked it, but don't snoop around my vehicle looking for an extra 70 bucks. And for what? When I went to get my sticker the first thing I saw was a city worker drinking a cup of coffee not working. So where's the money go my fellow taxpayer? It sure as fuck don't go towards any improvements in this town. Future move is in our future. You can have this sunken pit town......brother.

If they went onto your property to see that you didn't have a sticker that should not be a valid ticket, but if it was visible from the street you don't really have an argument.

That said there are some definite hypocrites in the department regarding these stickers. Last year I noticed for months a police officer neighbor in town who didn't either didn't purchase city stickers or didn't want to actually put it on their precious vehicles. I wrote into sound-off about it and they had the stickers displayed within two days of the paper coming out. I moved so I don't know if this is happening again with this particular officer, but I wouldn't be surprised if you walked past the police department and saw a few vehicles in their lot without stickers.

I'm in violation. I get it. And I believe that you are both correct. But when I pull up to a gas station and see a local lawdawg sipping coffee it really irks me that they had to ticket me. I got my sticker today. 50 dollars. Plus my 71 dollar fine. Its just horseshit. I'm done with this. It has really hellbent my day.

Don't let the door of your double wide trailer hit you in the triple wide posterior on the way out of town. Go somewhere else and infect them with your negative attitude.

And I find nothing weird about posting and whining about not paying for a sticker that is the law and complaining about the police. It must suck to wake up in the morning and be a miserable person.

Yeah yeah yeah, you make no sense. But, I actually know who you are so it doesnt surprise me. Think what you want but approaching my vehicle on the property is a no no. I know my rights and I will win. Cant wait for your next post though.

Ms. Hoo please approach the judges bench and explain how your rights have been violated.

Hoo: Well your honor I had an exprired sticker which is against the law. But that's not the point. I have full respect of the law. As a matter of fact, on Topix I even refer to them as "lawdawgs" and infer they are afraid to take their gloves off in the cold. These guys are picking on me and it's just not fair! They are law enforcement officers and they enforced the law against ME!

Judge: Well Ms. Hoo you have now had your day in court. Please pay your court costs for wasting my time on the way out at the window. Come back when you have a valid complaint.

Hoo you couldn't even make it on Judge Judy with this whining. You screwed up. Pay your fine and move on.

Once again the communication and comprehension needs to be broken down or you need to reread my admitting statement. Youve always tried to be bigshot and no one is impressed here with your scripts. Oh, and btw, fyi, I am not a female. And you can have the last word cause I wont argue with you anymore.

I just got a ticket Friday as well while I was parked at work. I just purchased my vehicle and i had temp plates on it. I moved here about a month ago and between settling in and working my new job I had yet to get a sticker. So a big welcome to Wilmington I guess. But mine was a $100 ticket plus the $50 sticker! I hate this place already.

Let's see you live in the city limits and didn't have a city sticker.
Accept it and move on.
Everyone knows u need one. Its nothing new. Its in the paper even.
In the middle of the night the cops gave you a ticket.
Umm do you think when the sun goes down they stop working? At night they just don't have to deal w the confrontation and silly excuses why you don't have a sticker.

But totally agree more needs to be done about the drug problems in town
