Coal City Library New Conference Room

Is there any truth that the new Coal City Public Libary Conference Room (the house) is going to be named the "Lois Phillips Conference Room". After all she has promised to spend our tax dollars wisely. It was in Courant. How much is the new conference room costingthe tax payers of the district? Big dollars. Really big dollars. Another wasterful spending of our tax dollars. Thank you President Phillips. Keep up the good work ... not! I hope you are aware that many people in the district use you as the butt of many jokes.

Not to mention 15-16 employees falling over themselves during the day. There are more employees working during the day than patron in the library. All the employees are praying for snow so they can have they off with pay. Lois is that "good stewart" of the taxpayer dollar. Queen Lois. Nice ring to it.

A few individuals have been on the board but Phillips has chased them off. Made their lifes a living hell. A majority of the board members have been on the board for ever. Croonies of Phillps. You need to be more concerned with the fact that every year this library board max's out the tax rate. The max allowable by law even tho they receive millions in tax dollars from the nuclear plant. Millions of tax dollars have been wasted by CCPLD. Visit the library during the day. 15 emloyees. Look around at how many patrons are in the library. Then look around at what the employees are doing. Just standing around.

is going to do a story. So much to write about at CCPLD.

Look at all the programs they have for all ages. Remember. Keeping our kids off the streets. Senior activities. I live in Wilmington and go to your library. You folks should be proud. Just saying.

First this is not about how the employees operate. This is about how the library board is guilty of wasteful spending of tax dollars. Do you have any idea how much that "new" conference room is going to cost us taxpayers? Probably not. You have no idea of the wasteful spending over the life of this library. While we may have to many employees working vs patrons visiting the library; although our hours suck compared to other surrounding libraries; while a few snow flakes and our library closes - with employees getting a paid; and it goes on and on. Really, let me throw the ball back in your court.#1 The library is not that old, yet two complete new roofs have been installed costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.#2 Sprinkler system - multiple, costing hundreds of thousands.

Stop at Braidwood, Wilmington or Morris and count the number of employees working.#5 The homeowners realtor that represented the home (new conference room) also represented the library. Something not right about that.#6 Look at the total cost from the time the home was purchased; all the modifications & renovations until the grand finale the last renovation to convert into a conference room.
