Plainfield storefront hit by car, snarling traffic
A man accidentally backed his car into a downtown storefront Monday afternoon. The driver was trying to back into a parking space when he accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes, said Chief John Konopek.

Did the Village forget to install super-hero barriers that immediately spring in to place when a car jumps a curb in order to protect the storefronts when they were wildly spending all the $$$$ on trees, walls, pots and wide sidewalks? Hmmm, I thought they wasted every possible penny down there...
