And some of the morons thought he would be a good Mayor! Ha ha. And now they voted in DA. for Mayor. good luck!!
Pinal County Resident wrote:
Mr. Babeu not only lied to his fellow officers at the Chandler Police Department, he lied to the Arizona Army National Guard when he asked to be separated from his full voluntary deployment term on the Mexican border. He told his military superiors that he wanted to leave the Guard deployment to continue his duties as a police officer.
What he actually was doing was a political maneuver because he wanted to run for yet another political office.
He knew that he would not be able to run for office while actively deployed, so he lied to military supervisory staff. He knew he would not be elected president of the police union, so he lied to his fellow officers stating he was not going to run for sheriff.
He asked for and was granted unpaid leave from the Chandler P.D. to dedicate full time efforts for his political greed. What happened to the “I need to leave this military deployment because I feel obligated to my duties as a Chandler police officer”????
He has also been feeding half truths and plenty of lies to a local yellow journalism rag in an effort to benefit his campaign by negative attacks. Is this deception and negative campaign tactic the norm in Massachusetts or did the Arizona heat melt Babeu’s integrity?
He has foolishly been fibbing to the voters when he attacks Sheriff Vasquez alleging the deputies are not trained in CPR. He knows, or should know, that all Arizona lawmen are certified in the police academy during First Responder Training.
He has been fibbing to the voters when he says he will put Mobile Digital Computer modules in the patrol vehicles, knowing very well the MDC’s are in several patrol vehicles already with more budgeted and scheduled for service.
He has been fibbing when he tells the voters he will decrease response time when he knows Sheriff Vasquez has already redistricted patrol areas and convinced the Board of Supervisors to hire more deputies which has already decreased response time and improved omnipresence and proactive patrol enforcement.
It was an asinine comment he made about firing deputies who had a pot belly if he became sheriff. This just proves his rookiness. You can only fire employees who break the law or violate administrative policy and procedures.
Those experienced deputies are the ones who keep the young rookies, like Babeu, out of trouble. What a stupid comment by Babeu.
All these gross errors and deception by Babeu are going to catch up with him come election time. People will see that he is motivated by mere personal political gain and is not dedicated to the law enforcement career field.
No thanks, Babeu, my vote and many, many like me will go for a tested and true law enforcement leader, not for a deceptive politician looking to get his carpet-bagging foot in the door.
The people of Pinal County need an experienced law enforcement leader like Sheriff Chris Vasquez, not a politically motivated law enforcement rookie officer from a city outside of the county.

You must be undereducated not to get what I just wrote, or personally related and not had counseling?
I personally favor government transparency; is Mr. Babeu transparent? Really? Really? No shred of hypocrisy, cover up or deception in his party choice, financial or family dealings? Hey did you hear about the recent weed bust in Pinal? Wow. All over the papers. I wonder what's going to happen to that big stash they confiscated....Maybe you believe that family secrets are binding to the general public, but they are not. Do the right thing? Why don't you come 'out' with it yourself...
I have no idea what you are talking about but you write like someone with a modest 3rd grade education. If you are a 3rd grader, well done; if not, perhaps more education should be in your future.

I’ll ask one more time to give you an opportunity to tell us what you say you know about Paul’s “family stuff” both the personal and family information that you claim is so damning providing, of course, that you have facts to back up your accusations. It sounds to me like you have some kind of grudge against Paul and are attempting to fabricate damaging stories against him. I can tell from your posts that you are a bitter person with an axe to grind. Do us all a favor and either give us a truthful and accurate account of the facts or stop being such a nasty gossip and get a life.

I am hardly a 3rd grader. Nor am I bitter with an axe to grind. However, I despite hypocrisy of either a personal or governmental nature and, as a state employee, have seen far too many props distributed to folks who buy into low-level behavior, and I'm not referring to lifestyle choices. That is small stuff compared to brushing shit under the rug, cavorting with politicos with whom you are not honest, and making promises you can't and won't keep to your voting constituents. Oh yeah, I've got just a 3rd grade education. Now you take your 4th grade edumacation and read between the lines of what I just wrote and see if you can figure it out, atta girl. Not everybody buys into bullshit.

Paul Babeau is probably the best sheriff we've had in Pinal County in 50 years.

I’ll ask you to wipe the drool from your face before you answer this question; were you kicked in the head by a pony at your birthday party or are you just the slow one in your 3rd grade class? If you are typical of Paul’s opposition in Arizona, it’s safe to say he’ll be Governor one day.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
