The only thing that irritates me about this story is the media acting like it's a big deal.

So a pair of lesbians will walk into a coronation together. Good for them, but is it really such news that it should be reported with the same vigor as the unrest in Egypt? Come on, it's over. Let's move along now.

It took courage for those girls. Glad the school stood up for what's right.

I'm sorry to tell you that the younger generation is not all upset about sexual orientation of their fellow students. I know you would love for this to be a big deal but it's not. It's about time because we sure have wasted a lot of time in this country worring about each others sex lives.

If the school is so concerned about its students being harassed, how about the candidates whose formals left little to the imagination? Spring is certainly "busting" out in Champlin, at least at the high school.
The administration seems to be a bunch of hypocrites.

The alarmist, racist, discrimnatory, homophbic sexist holier-than-thou citizens who had concerns about this event can rest easy tonight that their world did not come to an end.

And tomorrow morning, once again, the sun will rise on all of God's Creation and His Children.

Yet another reason (as if you needed one) to take your kids out of the government school and send them to a private school.

Then: If at first you don't succeed, try, try, again.

Now: If at first you don't succeed, sue.

Perhaps if you used proper grammar and punctuation to make your point, I wouldn't have shown up to put egg on your face.

EXACTLY!!! I saw 2 young women on the right dressed snazzily and appropriately.

The young woman on the far left is another story. Since when did falling out the front and top of one's dress become appropriate in school functions?
And does she have parents? I don't mean a sperm donor and an incubator. I mean adults who have some commitment to guiding her toward common sense if nothing else.

Or school them yourself. We did and our kids are great, and anyone who meets them knows it. But, to the point, what we have here are simply two different kinds of people posting on this site. Those who still believe in moral absolutes, and those who are "open-minded", that is, willing to let anything be poured into their minds. No filter. If it feels good, do it, and all that. They can go ahead and cheer these two embarrassments as having been "courageous" without even knowing what it all represents. The buzz of being "different" will soon wear off these two, and when their 15 minutes of attention is squandered, God help them.
