With everything considered, weather and temperture included, I would like to start a poll and see who comes the closest to being right on when the first trip across the lake will happen. Not only will this be fun, but give some glimmer of hope to the people who have suffered and are struggling from this tragic event. My prediction is the 25th of January. Ok....the polls are open.. good luck

What should be done after the bridge is built, is rebuild Fort St Frederick that once stood right on the Champlain shore near the bridge.
It would put lots of people to work, create business for many of the local stone companies and create an impressive tourist destination and bring many people to the area.

The bridge will be built pretty quick I think, there are some big bonuses and incentives for them to get it done ahead of time, just as long as no politicians and special interests groups stick their nose in it.

I say get the Congress of the USA involved, they should have it fixed by the time Albert Gore gets his next Nobel Peace prize for saving Jet Fuel.

Down State politicians do not care about this areas well being since they used all the iron ore for their sky scrapers. Now the fine poeple of upstate have suffered because of the bridge,APA, prison closing, ect. The Reps and local Gov need to stand up and work together and plan on how to generate revenue, to make this area economically feasable to the area residents. Example: when this bridge is built the toll charge should be 5$ to tourist and 50 cents for locals, in which you can buy tickets with proof of residency. Yes, there will be cheaters but most downstate NY, and across border travelers will pay more. Important, The money is not deposited into the NY, Vt ccffer to be stolen. There are other ways to fight back the Political Machine of downstate vampires that have a "do not care" attitude about the great people of Northern NY.
