A bit of Trivia that is ABSOLUTELY RIVING ME MAD!!!
Can ANYONE answer this.......
Was Franklin D. Roosevelt (who was NY's Governor at that time), paralyzed from Polio at the ceremonies opening the new bridge?
Was he married to Eleonor yet?
If anyone could answer those questions, it really would be great.
It's buggin the heck out of me.

Well he had been married to Eleanor by then (last child was born in 1918 and marriage was strained after 1920), and had contracted polio (or some other illness like it possibly)as well. He would have stood for the opening as he only used a wheelchair in private, staying very fit allowed him to use braces on his legs to support him and walk.
If I have burning questions like these, I use wikipedia.com ; it's usually a good source to begin research.
