This is not the BGSU that has a profile with over 8,000 comments. "BGSU" is an established profile account and BGSU is representative of her alma mater.

Even thou I don't care for Obama. I simply don't care for his politics. The comment about him was uncalled for due to race. You will always find a racist commentor no matter what. If you ignore it then that says you accept who you are and what you are. Stop letting those who are racist get to you. Sometimes becuz I'm white I feel I get discriminated against. Racisim is applied to every race by every race. Job interviews etc.. but.. Football Players? Basketball Players? etc... There was a time of day in sports you did a crime you no longer played. Drugs? Shootings? and so on. Exactly what is in the color of skin??? We all carry the blood from the same creator. Blacks have played on discrimination for to long. I wouldn't say I'm racist. I would simply say I'm stating the Facts and Truth! This Buckner, be it black or white, deserves all he has coming to him. He does not deserve anything more. He did a crime and he should pay the time. He should get the death penalty as far as I'm concerned.

Hey Dan u need to shut ur mouth. First n foremost if u think for one second that your ppl are the only ones who pay taxes you fell n bumped ur head. Remember blacks were slaves, we built this country n still gotta put up wit the bull**** from u moth*******. Yeah true indeed he did the most horrific thing possible, what about all these white ppl who are shooting up schools n bombing buildings with kids n innocent ppl in them last time i checked they were white. Oh yeah the difference is that they're cowards n take the easy way out by killing themselves. And BGSU u can shut ur mouth with Dan. This country had these problems way before OBAMA n hmmmm i wonder what color those presidents were? You guys are all ignorant n thats the definition of Not Knowing. Put his race to the side for jus one sec n act like he's white. Better yet think of him being your son..........

What he deserves is a fair trial and for ALL the facts to be shown...be they good or bad.
People have him pegged as guilty , and he very well may be...but he still deserves a fair trial. Why? because that's what we all would want for ourselves and our loved ones if we were accused of a crime.
I don't know the defendant or the victim but I want to see justice done...and that means the whole truth needs to be heard and not twisted.

Absolutley! I have to agree wit what a joke its terrible. It says in the judicial system it's supposed to be Innocent until proven Guilty, but in all reality its not that way at all. It's Guilty until proven Innocent.

This is the problem w/our legal system today, too many post-ponements & reschedules; why stall the hearings. Why should tax payers have to be the one to pay for the actions of those who have committed the crime? Innocent until proven guilty, where was the time given for the victim that was shot? If our legal system would quit slapping the hands of these criminals, then maybe our crime would be cut down drastically when others see what the consquences are of those who committ the crime. Race should not have anything to do with the outcome of this case, it's the person that committed the crime and people need to quit being judgemental on the circumstances based on the color of skin. As far as given a fair trial, I agree, but why all the delays? Everyone has been given the "free will & the freedom of choice", they know what is "RIGHT" and what is "WRONG", so all the incidents described: such as having, wanting, stealing, buying the drugs (both victim & criminal), having a weapon-gun, were the "WRONG" choices for many reasons, so NOW the consequences MUST & SHOULD be given to those involved to be held accountable & responsible. Consquences for the victim was his LIFE & so the criminal should now be given HIS consquences whether it be life behind bars or the death penalty. Make people responsible and accountable for their actions without all the blame or accusations and excuses for their up-bringing, their skin color, & make it be: If you do the crime, then you do the time! Get our nation back to RIGHT & WRONG without all the excuses! Both victim & criminal & the lives of the families for both of them have had their lives altered tremendously based only on their own behavior and/or actions; NO ONE else made the choices that either of them made.

I have to agree with what a joke when saying this young man deserves a fair trial. It should turn out that the system will work and take care of the entire situation. I also agree that the first two comments were very ignorant and racist based. There is no need for this kind of thinking in this day and age in America. I must however ridicule HOLLA as well for some of his comments. This great nation of ours, which I agree does still have a long way to go to stamp out racism, was not built by black slaves alone. In fact slavery was predominantly used in the South. This country was also built by the blood and sweat of peoples from all over the world. The Spanish, English, and French were amoung the first to start the process and they did so with and without the help of slavery in several parts of the country. The Irish, and Chinese really contributed to the majority of our expansion west. There have also been people from all over the world who have come here and contributed to what truthfully built this country. While it feel it is extremely wrong for anyone to judge a person by the color of thier skin, you must remember this is a double edged dagger and racism comes from every different color.
I feel that we need to stop racism at the home level. In my house I have a major rule not allowing my children to say the word HATE. Each of my children have asked me why they are not permitted to say that word and I have told them simply this: HATE BREEDS IGNORANCE
IGNORANCE BREEDS RACISM
AND I WILL NOT RAISE RACIST CHILDREN.

Very well spoken. I agree with all of what you have said, racism comes from ALL walks of life and it shouldn't. I grew up in a very prejuidiced home (I am white) and I moved away from C-burg after high school. I was sooooo determined if I ever, ever had kids that I would never teach them what I was taught. I've tried very hard to teach my children that all are created equal & we live in a very diversified community. In fact, we are 1 of very few white families that live in our area. We have Asians, African Americans, Hispanics, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and several other nationalities that I'm not sure of; so we live amongst all & try to live in peace & harmony. All these folks I mentioned have been invited into our home with open arms & we are friends with all! I really don't like when people use the race issue when confronted with problems, but it does happen with ALL the races, not just the white race. It does appear, in our society, that some races have more leeway in voicing their racism comments over others & appears to be allowed more than others. The bottom line with this article is that the issue is NOT about race, but about the behavior and/or actions of this person that committed the shooting that killed a man. Again, I state, that the legal system has allowed so much leniency on so many crimes that have been committed and allowing the criminals to base their actions on their up-bringing, their environment / surroundings or placing the blame on anything else or someone else without making them be accountable or responsible for their own behavior/actions. No matter what the race of the person is, if they committed a crime, they SHOULD & MUST be held accountable. Stop hiding around the "poor race" issues and stand firm and hold strong to the accountability/responsibility of what has been done wrong and WHO has done it wrong! BOTTOM LINE......... I really like being able to learn about all cultures and all different races of people, I just wish the world would come together in peace & harmony.

A crack dealing, thug murderer. It's sad that someone so young could become so brainwashed with "thug life" that he would be willing to throw his entire life away at the age of 18. We all know he did it, but by the time we're done postponing everything he'll be 34 years old. Some justice huh?

Thug life isn't worth it kids. No one thinks you're cool when you're stuck in the middle of no where in a state prison.
