"Franklin County Republican Committee Chairman James Taylor said that some members of the GOP offshoot Ronald Reagan Coalition backed Redding behind the scenes."

What is wrong with these people? Is Taylor scared we're starting to realize that he's an extremist wacko?

The "Reagan Coalition." Give me a break, this is just sad and pathetic. Why can't people just vote for THEMSELVES. What, no one can think for themselves anymore, everyone has to belong to some stupidly named groups and smell the !@#$ Jim Taylor is shoveling?

WHY do we keep giving Taylor press???

That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Everybody in Franklin County is complaining incessantly about Obama and the current Congress, yet they don't care enough to vote? Leads one to believe that it must not bother them THAT much.

I agree with George. Even though it may not seem important enought to take a few minutes of your time to do so, it is with the freedoms we have that allow us to go to the polls to cast our vote. Local elections are just as important as national elections.

Jim Taylor, go away. you are one of the big reasons for the divide of the GOP in Franklin county. It is not good enough to simply say any "Republican" named on a ballot should be elected and or supported by the party. The county Republican committee should not be supporting any candidate who fails to meet the standards and values that the GOP is supposed to represent. David Plum was the most recent and obvious example of your ill examined support (in the name of the GOP).

Support for people like this guy hurts the GOP brand and at this point I blame you and anyone else who failed to research this man and his lack of character before they voted to make him a District Judge.

The County GOP should not have made any endorsement of this guy, period.

I am a lifelong Republican and a big supporter of the GOP, but enough is enough. Locally we need to start supporting candidates who meet the ideals of the GOP through their actions and lifesytle not simply because they claim to be Republicans because they know they need to in order to get elected.

Well it wasn't just this race that the robot republican voters helped put in power an official with questionable morality. Look at the Greencastle school board race. Shindle was re-elected even after his shenanigans with his abuse of power were exposed last summer. I guess people in this county truely have short memories. I bet these mindless people would elect Adolph Hitler if he put an (R) beside his name on the ballot!

Fix It....I disagree that "Locally we need to start supporting candidates who meet the ideals of the GOP...." It's more than local...it's statewide and national as well. Sadly, the GOP really doesn't stand for much anymore. I don't think John McCain (though a great American) would have made much of a president. Seems to be a short supply of leadership material on both sides of the isle.
