What about the village diner made sponsored by the village of laural run? That float was gorgous. Did the judges not hear the cheering and applauding from the parade observers? As for Mountain Top ministries they do the same thing every year!!! So I guess if it works don't change it??!! Especially if you can place for it. Whatever!!

I think peeved has a point. I don't think you should be able to do the same thing year after year and place for it. That is like Santa winning the award for bringing up the rear in the parade! P.S. I did see the Village float and they did a bang up job!

The parades aren't what they used to be around here. Maybe I grew up, I don't know but they were alot more fun in the past. Anyway, I think we have a need for a Shirt Tail parade, they are the best!!

I have to say the float that the Franklin County Fair Queen and her court had was adorable! It completely symbolized what the fair is with the sweet little baby animals on it. And the girls looked beautiful! Good job to all!!

Maybe, when you were younger, it didn't as much to impress you. Try to get back to where you came from. Otherwise, you will become one of the Freaklin County Complainers.

My parade report...
What's "the hype"????? I didn't realize that Billie Jean was a holiday classic! I'll be singing it around the Christmas tree with my family Christmas morning.

Since when does any mexican have anything to do with Christmas?

Those stupid light up grocery carts are freaking annoying.

Firefighters promote safety yet they will put 20 people on top of a fire truck without harnesses. Questionable behavior.

Thank you to the church who was the only people who understood the reason for the season.

Spinning Illusions...horrible! A few of the bands were good. To the others keep practicing!

The best part of the parade was when it was over. The only reason I stayed for the whole pathetic thing was for my kids to see Santa.

Maybe you should have stayed in the basement. Some people should only be let out during daytime.

Problem: I get angry when I go to the Christmas parade.
Solution: Don't go to the Christmas parade.

I hear Ya,

Glad to see you are not afraid to post what thousands want to post but feel somehow this annonomous site will identify them and report them to the politically correct police. I didn't see the parade, but have in the past. What gets me about these parades is how people that are so interested in the Christmas spirt are the same ones that push in front of others to get that perfect view. The people that bring their chairs and rudely set them up on someone elses property and then wage a battle with the land owner over their rights to watch the parade. I am quite aware of right a ways, etc. but my point is shown from the flagging that Shook Home had to put up knowing that inconsiderate folks would crowd in front of the nursing home to grab a spot in not thinking about the residence at the home.

Hope is not lost. I was really shocked that the PO actually allowed a picture of the nativity scene on their web page.

Wow, I feel sorry for the people that put so much hard work into organizing this parade. So much negitivity !! To the ones that are complaining, stay home next year and leave room along the street for the ones that enjoy it.

Being in the parade was great. I was in the ALL-SHRED van. Seeing the thousands of people having a good time really helps get a person into the Christmas spirit.

Looking forward to being in the parade again next year...

I for one thought the parade was wonderful the only thing that annoyed me was all of the chairs lining Main street FRIDAY NIGHT Next year I think I'm going chair shopping as everybody should, after all they are abandoned on the streets and the thoughtless jerks who string rope from meter to meter should be finedfor creating a hazzard to those attempting to cross the street.
Christmas is a Christian Holiday, not an American Holiday it is celebrated throughout nthe world....bigot!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS
