I see that Target plans to remodel their Chambersburg store, along with that, they are appealing their sweetheart tax deal that they received from Guilford Township. They think they are paying too much ! I hope these greedy bastards go down the drain for the way they treat employees and off-shore jobs.

It's called a P Fresh and they are trying to rake in more money from consumers by adding more groceries. Any way you look at it, just another feeble attempt to lighten your wallet while continuing to treat workers like crap and pay them as little as possible.

Target stores who expand their grocery section do so so that they can sell fresh fruits and vegetables. What a horrible thing that is, lightening my wallet by allowing me to purchase bananas! What an outrage to ask their employees to unpack produce boxes. The horror!

Mudfence, you are so right to be outraged.......people might buy apples and carrots. It's just not right.

Yes, I also hate it when corporate, capitalist retailers expand their selection for no goo reason other than take my hard earned money. Screw you Target and your produce, meats and baked goods! I live on Hungry Man.

I prefer local goods and produce. Targets food in general sucks just like Walmarts. Screw walmart too. They suck just like all bog box stores.

Why do you people even respond to posters like mudfence? He/she is just someone goofing off and you fall for it as though it's the gospel.

Good grief! You're being made fun of and you're to clueless to see it!

I hear ya Bowser, but there really aren't lot of places to get local "goods and produce" especially this time of year. Most local farmers bring their goods to farmers markets outside of Franklin County. I most definitely patronize both the North Square Farmers Market and Jim's when I can, but you have to admit their selection isn't great. Sometimes I want an ingredient that might be grown 5 minutes away but isn't sold anywhere in town.

That said, I like to convenience shop as much as the next person - I won't go to the Chambersburg Wal Mart, but I live near the Target and the ability to pickup a few staples at one store isn't really the end of the world.

Anyway, I understand the sentiment at least and I think we have an overabundance of some stores, and not enough of others. I could go on and on about the overpriced crap they sell from China at the Hobby Lobby, but people go there. And why does everyone park their giant extended cab truck along the fire line at the Wal Mart? Why is Green Township uninterested in development around the mall? Why are people fighting another exit on 81? Seriously, who eats at Ryan's? There's a lot of questions and things around here that annoy me - Target expanding isn't one of them. I'd like to see development on Norland Ave because it's better than empty lots sitting there.

Don't be fooled by Effington. He is surely jesting about Hungry Man, because consuming a product that a lowly commoner might have in his freezer is well beneath His Majesty. Effington sits in a tower, and only feasts on worthy items such as caviar and the most expensive wines. When he does descend from his tower, it is to attend establishments that meet his royal dining standards. His Majesty wouldn't be caught dead mingling with a lowly peasant who might occasionally dine at Olive Garden. No, no, Effington is above that. In fact, he is so far above us all that he will even bring an entire court of his fellow royals to a new restaurant's opening day and demand only the finest treatment. If they fail to bend over and deliver on his every need at the snap of his finger, his wrath will reign down upon them in a scathing online review, no matter how unfair his demands and expectations were.

I am thankful I have a job. I am irritated that the company treats its workers so poorly.

If the company treats its employees so bad why not contact Dept. of Labor Relations?

Actually, I have been informed that they have been contacted and are well aware of various actions towards employees. Nationally, Target is the subject of several lawsuits based on age discrimination.
