husband, had to have known where all the "extra" money was coming from. Absolutely no excuse, he is just as guilty.

So should Glenn Beck and Sarah palin, insure a lot of the money went to them too. For someone who hates socialism, she sure as hell likes free money that isn't hers!!

I agree the husband should bear some of the responsibility as well. He knew - or is one of the dumbest goobers on the planet. She was not moonlighting as a Wal-Mart Greeter to get this kind of disposable funds.

Personally I feel this is a weak sentence. Seems to me that crime does pay. That's $566,000.00 for each year of time. Three years is plain out not enough.

Well, 3 years is a long time to spend away from her young children. Yes, she did take away from the family business, but from what I have heard around this small town, the owner would have not missed it....as him and his formal wife live in 2 of the largest homes in Chambersburg....so who cares what she stole, as long as she pays it back. In this economy and the way the owner spent money, the business would not have survived anyway, regardless of her extra earnings. She took advantage, who hasn't...those in glass houses, should never throw stones!!!!
YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT?!?!?! You just made yourself sound really stupid. She should have thought about the outcome before she stole 1.7 million dollars. doesnt matter if they had a billion dollars! if you have 1000 dollars in your checking account and i got your account number and took a dollar without you knowing, guess what, i still stole it!

We are so quick to judge those we don't know. How did the husband not know? Terry herself will tell you that she has no idea of how she spent that much money, and that she went out of her way to hide it from her husband. She is a woman with an addiction, as real as any other. This jail sentence will hopefully be part of her cure. While it is sad to think that her three girls will be without her for these years, perhaps that is what needs to happen in order for Terry to get healthy.
One other thought for those of you without true knowledge that are quickly jumping on the "take everything and throw the husband in jail too" wagon. There are three children to consider. While Terry will be serving a jail sentence, do not doubt for a moment that her husband will be suffering. The girls deserve a parent to see them through this time.
We never know what tomorrow holds for any of us. We should be careful about what we wish on others.

Oh my, what a refreshing post. Couldn't agree with you more, everyone is so quick to judge yet they don't even know 1/2 of the story and for that matter, it is "NON" of anyone elses business. More and more judgmental people just make me sick and they love to dwell on someone elses pain. Thank you again for your post. We don't know until we walk in anothers shoes. I personally am in a very sad situation and the remarks that people make to me just blows my mind. Remember, what goes around comes back around.
