Who needs cable when we have this kind of entertainment for free? LOL!

Karl Rove has created a new Super PAC with the specific intent of crushing the teabag party.

----------

Top Donors to Republicans Seek More Say in Senate Races

The biggest donors in the Republican Party are financing a new group to recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s efforts to win control of the Senate.

The group, the Conservative Victory Project, is intended to counter other organizations that have helped defeat establishment Republican candidates over the last two election cycles. It is the most robust attempt yet by Republicans to impose a new sense of discipline on the party, particularly in primary races.

----------

Guess what, wingnuts? Karl Rove thinks you're picking the WRONG candidates.

So he and his rich buddies are going to defeat you. They are going to take specific aim at your teabag party candidates.

Why?

Because they WANT TO WIN! LMAO!

Of course the teabag party isn't going to take this attack lying down. No siree.

Erik "son of Erik" Erikson...

----------

They blame the tea party and conservatives for their failure to win primaries. They’ll now try to match conservatives and, in the process, call themselves conservatives.

I dare say any candidate who gets this group’s support should be targeted for destruction by the conservative movement. They’ve made it really easy now to figure out who the terrible candidates will be in 2014.
...
Weeding out candidates will not be the problem. The problem will come when conservatives do rally and Karl Rove disagrees. In calling his group the “Conservative Victory Project” he intends to lend a veneer of conservative credibility to candidates who may not be in the same way the Bush Presidency tried to create “big government conservatism.”

Count me out.

The teabag party has always been nothing but the rightwing fringe of the Republican party.

And the GOP establishment is laying the groundwork to reign them back in.

Steve King (R - Wingnuttia)- you're target #1...

From the Times article...

The Conservative Victory Project, which is backed by Karl Rove and his allies who built American Crossroads into the largest Republican super PAC of the 2012 election cycle, will start by intensely vetting prospective contenders for Congressional races to try to weed out candidates who are seen as too flawed to win general elections.

The project is being waged with last year’s Senate contests in mind, particularly the one in Missouri, where Representative Todd Akin’s comment that “legitimate rape” rarely causes pregnancy rippled through races across the country.

In Indiana, the Republican candidate, Richard E. Mourdock, lost a race after he said that when a woman became pregnant during a rape it was “something God intended.”

As Republicans rebuild from losing the White House race and seats in the House and Senate last year, party leaders and strategists are placing a heightened focus on taking control of the Senate next year. Republicans must pick up six seats to win a majority.

Representative Steve King, a six-term Iowa Republican, could be among the earliest targets of the Conservative Victory Project. He said he had not decided whether he would run for the Senate, but the leaders of the project in Washington are not waiting to try to steer him away from the race.

LOL! Our teabag party rightwingers don't want to touch this thread.

Why?

Because they know they're on the losing side of the GOP civil war.

----------

In Iowa, a new survey from Public Policy Polling shows Rep. Steve King (R) with large leads over any of his possible Republican rivals in the upcoming U.S. Senate primary.

The same poll also shows King trailing every possible Democrats, including an 11-point deficit against most likely Democratic candidate, Rep. Bruce Braley (D).

----------

This is why Rove and GOP big-money donors have made King target #1 in their war to rid the party of teabag lunatics - he can't win.

The teabag party's days are numbered.

And that's a good thing for America. maybe then we can get back to doing the people's business instead of having one party deliberately wreck the economy for political gain.

How to beat Karl Rove at his own game
By STEVE DEACE | 2/6/13 4:58 AM EST

Now Rove has succeeded in uniting the conservative grassroots yet again, but this time by becoming the face of the loathed Republican Party establishment.
...
There is now an out-in-the-open civil war within the Republican Party, and most of the grassroots patriots I talk to are just fine with that.

The GOP establishment is so hated by its own base that increasingly more and more of its grassroots have decided they might be better off with Democrats in charge rather than Rove’s kind of milquetoast, John Boehner-type of Republican.

In an all-out fight for freedom and liberty these types of Republicans have proven to be about as useful as lipstick on a pig.

Ignore this thread.

DTM started it only to try to remove the "Obama is the worst President ever" thread. Please notice that he posted the first (5) posts to lure people to post here. Just let this one die and go back to the "Obama is the worst President ever".

The sufferers of DTMDS not only repeatedly claim that they're going to ignore me (then fail), they also beg others to take up their fight against their imaginary strawman.

LOL! Seek help, nerd. You're diseased.

The first symptom of DTMDS is seeing DTM behind every post that you don't like.

You're diseased, freak. Seek help.

LOL! The intrigue is so entertaining...

Letter demands firing of Crossroads aide, calls Bozell ‘critically important figure in American history’

A group of conservative leaders has signed an irate letter demanding that a Republican political consultant be fired for calling the relatively undistinguished scion of a prominent political family a "hater."

Jonathan Collegio, a spokesman for the Karl Rove-affiliated political action committee American Crossroads, used the epithet when discussing L. Brent Bozell, the nephew of former Sen. James Buckley and deceased National Review founder William F. Buckley, during an appearance on a local radio show Wednesday.

The letter, which is being circulated by the Washington, D.C. based public relations shop Shirley & Banister, calls Bozell "a beloved and critically important player in American history."

----------

The letter actually says, "You obviously mean to have a war with conservatives and the Tea Party. Let it start here."

The teabag party is firing the first shot. It'll be known in history as "The War of Teabagger Aggression."
