Well, it looks like if all the talking heads in Greencastle get their way, as they always do, we will be looking at our taxes going up again. Once again they use the children to make it look as though anyone who is against higher taxes want to deprive the kids. If these same arrogant snobs are so concerned about depriving the kids maybe they would be willing to take a cut in pay or pay more toward their health and retirement. Not everyone in the school district lives in luxury. Not everyone has six figure incomes. There are many of your fellow citizens who are struggling to make ends meet. Many who have to pay for their own insurance. Many who are barely hanging on to their homes. All of you self appointed experts who say, what is $40 or $60 don't seem to know or care how the other half lives. Maybe you need to drive around the community outside the golf course and see all the homes sitting empty and all that are in forclosure. Here is a thought. How about doing away with some of the administrative positions in the district. Just one or two of those could pay for everything the kids need. This school district is top heavy just like the rest of government. They dictate what they want and need but you don't see them making any sacrifices.
