This bill needs passed! Lets clean up this horrible practice in Pennsylvania and stop churning out sick animals. These dogs should not have to spend their entire lives in small wire pens without proper care. I've seen the results of puppy mills and it's terrible what happens to these poor animals. You need to hear the strangled choked sound of an animal that's had a pipe shove down it's throat so it can't bark. This is cruelty at it's worst!

Don't buy a dog from the local pet store! There is no doubt about where their animals come from. If you want to stop the puppy mills from operating, you have to eliminate the demand! No supply, no demand!
NO MORE PUPPY MILL ANIMALS!!!!!

All you have to do is look at some of the ASPCA's web sites and the videos they have of the puppy mills and you would see these people should be put out of business. Suppoort this bill and put an end to the miserable life these animals must endure.

The intent of the bill is good, but there must be more clarification so that there is no questions regarding what is meant by the bills. I was at the public meeting on these bills yesterday, and while there has been distinct positive progress, it isn't quite done yet. There are about 30 points that need minor tweaking. What we must NOT do is let this bill become a launch pad for the animal rights extremeists who do not want us to have pets or livestock of any kind for any reason. Be aware that this IS the agenda for certain animal rights groups, and it is in writing and quoted by numerous reliable sources in the press from the leaders of these organizations.

I Feel Your Pain,
Please don't allow the scare tactics used to warn against extremists to dilute the support for this bill.
There will always be extremists out there, but they had nothing to do with the crafting of this legislation.

There is a lack of clarity on who will be providing the training required of dog law officers. There is some wording regarding what constitues a proper sized crate, especially in regards to temporary transport and holding of an animal. And as I don't have this packet right in front of me, and don't want to misinform, I would urge you to attend the meetings for further information.

Since HSUS DID indeed push for many of the points that are not currently included in this improved version, YES, the extremeists DID have a hand in it. Don't let the warm, fuzzy image of the HSUS fool you. They are PETA's better behaved brother, but they are still crooks who use the money people donate that they *think* is helping animals in shelters to move towards the ultimate goal of NO animal ownership at any time, nor of any type, INCLUDING PETS. The HSUS states on its website that they operate no shelters, then they try to say *they* are housung and rehabilitating Michael Vick's abused dogs. Flagrant lies are not beneath them.
