Wrong, Queen St. curmudgeon, the man cannot pollute the neighborhood. That will be settled in court. The complaintants have a case.

If it bothers the neighbors so much let them pay to install a furnace that burns something other wood. And pay for the fuel also. Also I think Wilson you should start that fund raising drive. Besides, was he residing in the neighborhood before the complainants? If so, they shold have seen the stove in his yard and decided to live elsewhere.

It's wood, people, not a nuclear reactor. Try to move on.

Burning wood to heat a home is not a problem until the unit being used is an outdoor unit in a crowded neighborhood. I lived next to one that would burn year around because it was used as a water heater as well. the man burned anything he could fit into the unit, including utility poles with creosote. We couldn’t open the house windows or hang clothes out to dry. Fortunately the neighbor, who was quite elderly, decided he didn’t want to cut wood and load the furnace daily the rest of his life and installed a water heater and indoor furnace. I do agree the man has a right to heat his home but not in a manner that intrudes on his neighbors.

I agree with Mary Queen street, get a life.Wood was the only thing they had many years ago,or Coal. People like you make me laugh, yell about smoke but sniff fumes from large trucks, buses and etc, plus eat all that unhealthy food from fast food stops while you are on the run. I wonder what do people like you do when you use the toilet, put a dust mask on,BAD-GAS you know[STINKERS].Let the man alone,GROW-UP.
