Man charged, woman treated after Greene Township domestic violence

A Fayetteville woman was injured Monday as a result of domestic violence, according to police.

Based on their ages I would guess that this has been going on for some time. Sometimes it takes years before the victim gets up the nerve to report it, or it takes a concerned neighbor or family friend to take the action.

I hope that the husband gets therapy or whatever is necessary to correct this situation. The first reaction, throw him in jail, often deprives the wife of much needed income and is not always the best response. Then again, if she can get by without him...

It was Stump Run Road in Fayetteville. I know both parties, and both have a family history of violence since way back. Still doesn`t give him the right to assult a woman. She needs to get away from him forever. I thought she was away from him, but, must have taken him back. Wouldn`t hurt her to calm down a little also.

Mom is that his real name or maybe his brother? I always thought his real name is what we have been calling him for years. lol. I also thought they were divorced a few years back... god only knows what is going on there. I do agree she needs to calm down as well. It isn't right for anyone to fight, but sometimes you wonder what brings stuff like this on. Kids are grown and gone and the parents resort back to being juvenile. psychology 101, will tell you each person being abused have different break free points. Unfortunately some end up in vegatable states and some dead. Sometimes they break and kill the abuser.
If only there was a sure way to teach people as children how valuable they are, to keep their self esteem high, that would resolve a lot. But how many times we here a parent or guardian say stuff like,'you stupid a__.' and a lot worse. Would we ever dare to step up and say, No, Don't or anything? Of course not, we are too polite. After all Children and Wives are property of men.
Don't you hope we soon get out of that mode of thinking?

I was just pointing out that I wasn't sure if my mother was talking about the right person, had someone else said the same thing as she did I would have asked the same question and said the same things, excluding the mom part of course. I just want to let Dean and Eileen know; I also know Polly and Rodney, talk to her daily. For one, there has been no previous violence at that house and you really shouldn't be speculating on personal business to strangers. Especially when you don't know the situation. Like others have said, pick up the phone for that. Better yet, call Polly and ask. And, the cops have never been to her house for that.
