These bugs destroyed my squash, zuchinni and cucumber plants this summer. Made the vines nothing but mush. I remember killing stink bugs, might not have been this variety, in the 70's. and yeah they do stink when squashed.

Just think if the PO would spend as much effort to root out the "stink bugs" entrenched in the CASD Adm. Building as they did in this piece we would be rid of a many more pests and parasites.

Well if stink bug soup is what you are dreaming of, come on over to my place and collect as many as your heart desires....PLEASE LOL!!! They are all over our house. So much for looking out the storm door cause they have it covered. We can't even open the front door without a dozen flying in each time. With three kids running in and out that makes for a bunch of stink bugs coming in :(!!! Our shop vac has become a permanent fixture in the corner of our living room. And yes make sure you put a panty hose over the other end or they will get back out!!! Not thinking I have learned this the hard way..lol!

I've seen several of these bugs, but not in my house. What I have trouble with every Aug & Sept is crickets. Large ones. All over; crawling up stuff, walking across the floor, falling out of the drop-ceiling around the projector, etc. I just pick them up and throw them outside. Wish they'd stay outside to begin with, though.

Watch, there will be something good that happens in nature to explain this. They may be eating a parasite.

Maybe it's a sign about the coming winter, or a signal of the "End World."

Bring it on you religious posters !

I have more problems with crickets than I do with th estick bugs! I would think that when they were doing their nights sprys it would take care of them.

SEVIN! They love it! All over the perimeter of the house, walkway and yard. The only good bug is a dead bug.

Mr. Gladhill should cut back on his spraying. A few frosty days and they will be gone. What's next, "The Stink Bug Virus"?. Something else to scare the consumer into spending money.

I think Box Elder bugs also called (pumpkin bugs) are worse. When I first moved here to a brand new house, 11 years ago, it was covered with them the first October we lived here. I was ready to move out of the state they were so bad! We cut down two big trees out front, and that really did the trick.
I hope the stink bugs don't take over like those box elder bugs did! eeuuuwww

I love all animals...but sure don't like bugs.

I HATE bugs and these bugs are every where! I've used my wet/dry vac to suck them up too and sprayed them with bug spray they do die pretty easy. I notice they work themselves up under the edges of my vinyl siding on the warm side of my house. I don't like cold weather but it does get rid of these pests!

Listen, I have the biggest, blackest and LOUDEST crickets ever. There was one in my living room chirping so loud it echoed. I finally found the guy on my mantle.
I just removed a stink bug from the house yesterday..hopefully we won't get an infestation.
I did notice they ate my neighbors squash and pumpkin vines. They are slow lil guys. My kids were poking them with sticks and they just mosey about...lol.

I've seen a few stink bugs here but my most annoying bug is the wire worm and they REALLY stink! They stink when they're alive and they really stink when you squash them! I think the P.O. should do a story on them!
