I don't understand why people in Nebraska think that it is so safe. Do you all realize what people in other parts of the country think of your city? For one thing, there is an EXTREMELY high crime rate. And the court system of Douglas & Sarpy county is a joke. I don't want to hear anyone stickig up for your poorly run government system. Police officers from Virginia all the way to California have openly talked to me about how rediculous and unorganized the city of Omaha and it's law system is. They give unfair sentancing and have no remorse to what they are doing to people. Example: putting kids on house arrest for not going to school. House arrest is for those who have commited serious crimes, but for not waking up in time to go to school? Just insane. People are ignorant and unfriendly in Omaha. I have had friends come visit with me when I go back to see family and they are from different parts of the country. The very first thing they notice is how isolated they feel around people. They feel that everyone is very judgmental and uncaring when they don't know who you are. Which is entirely true. And not everywhere you go is like that, so I want no one saying that to me. I have been to nearly every state in this country in the past 2 years so don't tell me I don't know what I am talking about. Obviously you haven't done or gone anywhere cause you are still rotting away in that wasteland. I hate how people say that everyone in Omaha is so creative. Yeah, okay? Another thing, I have been all around that city and knew all kinds of people, but none really struck me as creative or out of the ordinary. If someone dares to be different in Omaha you get stared at and treated like you did something horribly wrong. I put pink in my hair one time and I could count atleast 20 people that talked behind my back and made rude comments while I was just minding my own business, going to the store. Does anyone have anything to add about what they don't like about this place? Get out now, my advice to you. There is a world you are missing..

ok one last thing. The architecture and design of the houses is completely generic. All the houses look the same. There is nothing unique about them and they are priced cheap because they are made cheaply. Even the decent houses that are prices much too high are not worth the money. They are also made with no detail in mind. Also, the appartments are rediculous.$800 a month for a small, uninteresting box to live in. There is no thought or care put into these things. The appartments and houses in other states put these to shame. They are the exact same price but they are atleast taken care of. Oh and ever wonder why your gas prices are so low? Because it is all watered down. Thats right.. QT, Buckeys, BP.. all of them. Seriously, I got hardly as much milage in my tank in Omaha as I did elsewhere.. Ever heard of Chevron?

I have a lovely home in Minneapolis I'd love to sell you. You would love the Red Star Of The North State, and would fit right in. Give me the Good Life any day.

Try living elsewhere and you might just discover that Omaha isn't that bad after all. I've lived in many cities around the country, but Omaha is still on my list of my favorites. Omaha has gone through some exciting changes over the past ten years and there are still so many wonderful new developments coming. If you want to be negative and complain, I would suggest you move to New Orleans....you'll fit in real good down there.

Isn't it, I COULDN't care less? Which means that you care so little that it's not possible to care any less. You're at the bottom of caring.
I could care less means just that...there's room for less caring.

Omaha would be a good place to live if only it could remember it is "Omaha", not Hollywood. It's actually closer to Detroit, not only mileage wise, but crime statically speaking. A little humility would do Omaha good. Not to mention the "Catholic Rules" here.

WOW! You are the first person I've ever run across who understood. Everyone else says "I could care less". Meaning, I could care less. Meaning, I could care less. Sorry to sound redundant, but I'm 51 years old, and this phraseology has bugged me for a long time.

Thank you.

People's lack of thought process bothers me which this just a product of.

Never accept the mundane.

The curse of the intelligent is having to deal with those who are not, which there are more of and much to everyone's bewilderment seem to be the ones running things.

Which brings my thoughts to the 'smoking' issue. It's similar to a fanatical religious movement. Smoker or non, aren't there worse carcinogens, toxins, pollutants to worry about? Everyone is in such a frenzy about "second hand smoke". I worry more about what's in my drinking water that will kill a fish (Omaha water has to be treated before used in an aquarium), and what pesticides, FDA approved food colorings, preservatives, etc. I consume. And why so many people I know have or have had cancer. It can't all be attributable to second hand smoke. To me, all the recent legislation and taxation concerning cigarettes is more about governmental control of the people than it is a health issue. Big Brother doesn't care about your health. Big brother cares only about itself. And how far it can push it's own agenda.

Libra

With the sensitive Moon transiting your twelfth house of secrets and spirituality, you may not care for the company of others today. Make an effort to feed your soul this afternoon, whether you indulge in aroma therapy, yoga, or a chocolate ice cream treat. Being alone for any length of time should be therapeutic. Tell your loved ones you need some alone time and then take it!
