Duh is correct but at least the people up in Chagrin have access to real world-renowned cultural institutions like the Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Severance Hall, University Circle- and have the lineage and history to back up a bit of pretentiousness. They aren't 50 cent millionaires like the frauds in the Short North and Grandview, New Albany, Powell and the like. Old money and education in the Cleveland area trump Cowlumbus any day.

Where else can folks willingly afford $10 ice cream?... Indian Hills down in Cinci is probably the next stop.

This is bad news...some of my favorite memories are of getting ice cream at the ice cream/popcorn store right above the falls and then going down the stairs to watch the falls. I don't want Jeni's too push them out (no matter how delicious it is) My computer isn't letting me open the comments (gets an error) but I can see enough to read the first comment about it being a pretentious town. I agree that Chagrin Falls is a clean presumably upper class town but it attracts all walks of people for day tripes. I made a special trip from Columbus to Chagrin last month because I enjoy it so much. I was amazed at the diversity - there were quite a few Mennonites as well as men and women on Harleys. I've never thought of Mennonites as pretentious...

This sounds like a great fit. Chagrin is a beautiful little town, much like Granville. I'm sure Jeni's will be well-received. Good luck!

Just wait until Uncle Sam hears about this infamous Jeni, and soon, she will be taxed to death and forced to provide government-mandated health care to 16 year old kids serving ice cream.

Ben & Jerry's had a shop in The Falls, and I think Baskin Robbins still does. The Popcorn Shop is still there and will always be open, that is until if falls into the river.

Hyde Park, Clifton Gaslight, or Kenwood Town Center would be the better options with Kenwood having the highest foot traffic.

If that's true, she would deserve it. Hard work + talent = success.
