I haven't read the comics since Calvin and Hobbes left. I loved that strip so much.

This was one of the funniest comic strips ever. When I'd peruse the books in the bookstore, I'd have about a five-minute limit before I'd begin laughing out loud. We need more guys like Bill Watterson to make us laugh.

Calvin and Hobbes cartoons are some of the greatest strips ever made. Another strip that I miss very much is Bloom County by Berkeley Breathed.
It is sad that when I now look at the comic page, there not much there for creative tallent.

Best strip ever in my opinion. Funny and wise at the same time. I miss it and wish Watterson the best

I'd much prefer (re)reading Calvin and Hobbs to any news release by any of our blow-hard politicians.

I love Calvin and Hobbes! That strip can never get old!

The best comic strip ever. A comic that was actually funny - rare nowadays.

Gary Larson retired in 1995. "The Far Side" was another good one!

Oh I do miss Calvin and Hobbes. But Watterson is right. Better to have left while the strip was at its peak rather than let it become repetitious and stale.
