I used to work there for six and half years. I enjoyed the job and most of the public. I miss a lot of the customers. I learned more from that job than any job I ever had. I also learned how NOT to treat people. I worked with some very kind people and some that loved to set off fireworks. Like, I said I enjoyed my job, but a particular member of management (who has since retired) rode my butt about anything she could. She literally was a bully. As far as scandals, the only thing I saw that I did not agree with was those that have money or who know somebody important get treated better than those that don't by the higher ups (like NSF/late charges erased or continually allowed to write checks that should bounce). I mentioned this to my manager and basically got told to mind my own business. I also did not like the idea of some shady account practices that I witnessed while being trained in other position. Everybody talks about everybody else in there. Not only do they gossip about fellow coworkers, but also about customers and citizens. Privacy still holds value as far as your accounts are concerned, at least I think, but as far as respect... to your face, mostly, behind your bank, probably not. I ended up getting fired. Yes, fired. I was honest and always did my job with the most integrity. However, because I opened a savings account for a customer, who I knew personally to be reputable, but because she owed money at another bank, I got in trouble for opening the account. Savings accounts are typically the "safest" type of account to open because it can be easily monitored. I actually caught my mistake and brought it to the manager’s attention. Later on, I basically was thrown under the bus as things were blown out of proportion so a few other employees could save their behinds. The next reason for firing me was that I had been one minute late several times. Funny, because other employees clocked in up 15 - 30 minutes after we were to report. Since I have been gone many employees jobs have been terminated and new employees hired. Management still rides a high horse thinking the bank should run like a big city bank on a corporate level... big britches. After I was terminated, rumors flew about me and of course it got back to me. I have kept quiet about the crap I experienced there, but even after all this time the way I was treated still stings. But that is ok. We all know what the saying is about Karma.

bbb so true she sure likes telling your business to her relatives .I deposited money in there one time and the next thing I knew my xhusband was calling me because she had told his so called live in that he had wrote a check to me lol he better write them or go to court ,she is tonya logans cousin and not to mention how tonyas cousin keeps bringing clothes to her while she is working and they still have the price tags on them so guess that would be reason enough for her to tell my business out there .will say that the matter was handled but she should have been fired .oh and they fire people and make up lame excuses to fire them like their job has been terminated then hire someone else in their place ,how do you terminate book keeping positions in the bank????
