And when he leaves Cleveland, the average IQ of the city will double.

The Bushinator smells some black gold up in Lake Erie, perhaps? Or is the Bushinator picking NOW (the last 4 months of his 8 years) to show some love to NE Ohio? Like he cares.

Everything is secondary to the little "private" reception in Gates Mills. He is here for one thing only, MONEY! The electric plant visit is just a side trip to show how much he cares for us little folk. You know, the ones who won't be at the 5,000 a plate "private" reception in "exclusive" Gates Mills.

Lincoln Electric is a very successful company that has employed innovative operating ideas (employee stock ownership, paid vacation, incentive bonuses...) dating back to the early 20th century.

It is a well-known, long studied, atypically-managed company whose success has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the disastrous economic policies of the Bush administration.

If W.'s policies had affected Lincoln Electric, its board of directors would have been bailed out by the taxpayers after they had layed off all workers, sent manufacturing to China, closed down the Cleveland operations and raided the financial assets.

Good job W. and advisers for selecting Lincoln as a backdrop to blow your own horn - don't forget to give McSame some badly needed credit too.

This should really boost the sale of old produce, making it Bush's first real contribution to helping the economy.

So, he is done visiting the mid-east and has had his farewll tour of Europe... so that leaves... Cleveland. Next stop: Gary, IN?

It's like Lynard Skynard playing the rib burn-off circuit: they know almost no one cares anymore but still feel compelled enough to milk it to the end.

Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should be in prison awaiting execution for war crimes, treason, torture, violations of international law, and violations of the U. S. Constitution.

Not ONE positive comment about our president? Well don't look to me for one either, hurry up January. Even if McSame slips in ANYTHING has got to be an improvement over the last 8 years. ANYTHING.

Proof?

Leading a successful war is not grounds for treason.

I believe your beloved B. Hussein Obama finally admitted what most everyone (except Move On Lemmings) knows - THE SURGE HAS BEEN AN AWESOME SUCCESS.

But even knowing that, B. Hussein Obama would still have retreated before the surge. Judgement ...

Bush has had mixed results.

Good job.
1. Kicked butt on terrorists. Good thing. No attacks on homeland since 1991. I'm all for waterboarding to save American lives. It works. It saves the live of both conseratives AND liberals and causes no permanent harm to the terrorist.
2. Wars - Iraq and Afghanistan. Two new Democratically elected govt's - a good thing. Iraq effort bogged down. He wisely put Petraeus in charge. Petraeus did a great job. Move On smeared him and Obama refused to vote to condemn Move On but has now said - the surge had spectacular results.
3. Economy - mixed bag - 6-7 yrs of growth. Tax cuts lead to record tax collections. The latest stimulus package appears to have headed off a recession. Unemployment has been lower than the averages of the 70's, 80's and 90's.
4. Scandals - dramatic reduction from the Clinton years. The only thing of note was Valerie Plame - long investigation did not reveal any law was broken in her outage by Richard Armitage. It was not determined if she was even a "covert" agent anymore.
5. Drilling - Bush is right here. Pelosi wants to temporarily increas supply by using the Strategic Reserve. Why not increase Supply permanently through drilling and more drilling. The Dems want to wait for everyone to buy a hybrid. Not feasible.
6. Stem cell research - Bush stood his ground and now scientists (real ones, not the Al Gore kind) discovered a way to make the stem cells from skin cells, a huge breakthrough.

Not pleased:
1. Immigration - Bush tried to reform the whole thing. We really need to slam the door shut on the border first and eliminate sanctuary cities that allow immigrant street gangs to run around with no fear of deportation.
2. Medicare prescription drug. Gov't extended a costly benefit. Once you feed the beast it wants more.

Indeed.

We're still waiting for indictments and additional investigations on those topics.

I won't hold my breath.
