I wouldn't come on here to ask about Chaffee. I moved her two years ago from the St. Louis area and it's a nice small town. Topics makes it sound really bad. Sadly most hid behind computers and talk badly about others and the town. It's wrong and is the worst about southeast MO. There is good and bad to any place, just depends on what kind of people you associate with. The elementary school is great. It's small and most the teachers I've met are nice, your children will like it I'm sure.. Welcome to Chaffee!

That's what I was talking about, the last two comments could have been kept to themselves. If they don't like it here maybe they should move. The last thing we need around here is more negativity. :( Every town has good and bad.

The people that talk bad about this town are more and likely BAD people themselves. People that have daily run-ins with the law. Chaffee is a clean, quiet little town.

I enjoy this living, and contributing in our little community... I only frown upon the people that make the "overall" decisions that runs off opportunities for businesses to make their homes here (i.e. food chains, and dept. Stores)... I will be glad to see the water project "hopefully" progressing through the next year & a half... It soo desperately needed to be done 15 years ago... If everyone does a little here and there, whether it be upgrading your home or just making subtle changes to the upkeep of your yard, people will continue to move here... And maybe we will be able to move forward, rather than decline in the next 20 years... Who knows...
