so in a few weeks most teams will go dormant. But there will be some to keep working will fields be available to scrimmage?
State cup is not for a few months kids will not keep their touch or conditioning levels if they pause. This is the time to develop thier skills....what locations for practice?
Any alternative leagues? Norwalk league will accommodate weekly friendlies.
prefere to choose our own friendlies from COAST OR SCDSL. on LM fields.

Just info I got yesterday, if they have a lot of really good 3-4 place teams, that advanced like we did in league cup and had a good fall season like we did maybe, but for us we need to go deep in state cup, don't know the rules or process for that.
We will be requesting the move up for next season, im sure they want as many top bracket as they can get but only if they have good teams to fill them IMHO

I heard the BU10 is going club in the Spring, good for them. It's a natural progression for the players.

This is how it should go for the younger LMSA program.
The older boys have missed the boat due to defections to other club programs. Which was to be expected with nowhere for the gifted players to go in the past.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Bob,
Can you elaborate on some of the changes coming to the club program? Maybe even including paid coaches? Getting another volunteer just won't cut it.

WHAT ABOUT OFFERING A SECOND TEAM TO THE WINNING COACHES....or using some of the coaches as trainers for the weaker teams. Look at Mr paid u19 girls...Resultes merit pay ? Money wont always bring wins or Championships.

you Finally got it right. 1st year Club was difficult at best for LMSA. Your highest Team S.E.U19 did stay in level, most of the others that talked about moving up, just talk. Best would be for LM to go year round at home and use these next months to prepare for the upcoming season now that the natural progression has finally begun. Goodluck

U19 SE is the bottom level at U19 just like bronze
we should have 3-4 teams moving up, I don't understand your comment difficult at best ? we also had 5 teams advance in league cup;

First our bylaws won't allow paid coaches and that won't change team's can hire paid trainers

Each coach submits a application for the bod to approve every year and I can

We are looking at a lot stuff and really it's going to be at least another season before we truly understand what we have
So many team's had good or great season only 2 team's struggled
we will be adding at least the bu10 and maybe the bu12 with a new coach to Csl losing just one team

13 Boys second round league cup was another great test. They tied both games. 2 to 2, 0 to 0. vrs a gold and silver team.
possibly to next round as a wild card....conditioning and speed a factor again.
hard to beat a fresh team after a hard fought gold team with an hours rest.

Huh? Yes he was paid but not as much as parents are paying at other clubs that they play against. They were .500 on the season and the are only paying 1/3rd that of clubs they play against and have tied or beat. Look at it this way it is a bargain.

You forgot to mention that if not for two spectacular saves from their goal keeper LMSA beats gold team 2-0. Time of possession & shots on goal were about even. I guess we were lucky to catch them on a bad day and not get blown away. It was certainly a tall order but the boys stepped up and represented well.
