I did not know the victim, but did know Aaron. He was not the kind and generous person that people are claiming him to be. If anyone believes this to be so, they have been fooled by a master manipulator. He hid behind a "persona" that he thought people wanted to see. My blood ran cold when I had heard what he had done; and there is no doubt that he did it. I knew from a few moments of conversation that he was not someone to allow into your life beyond a superficial level. I avoided him as much as possible. If you knew him, do not make excuses for him, just apologize for his behavior. At his best, he was a liar, at is worst he was a twisted brutal murderer.

I knew the victim of this brutal, vicious, calculated murder by this monster, and she was about the kindest, sincerest human I had ever met... and I am awaiting the day I meet the murderer in hell so that I can bring him back to life to pay him his due for his crimes.

so sad, almost a year later and remembering. it has left a life long tragedy, with a apparently troubled little girl who is emotionally scarred. she lost everything.... my prayers go to you. you are the innocent one who must now suffer alone as everyone continues on with their lives. no one knows your pain. i pray you will one day be able to cope with all that has happened.

Aaron had some good qualities, but he was not an honest man. He was the type of person who was willing to look you in the eye and lie. He was pleasant to be around. But there was a dark side simmering under the surface. He was deceitful, manipulative and selfish. He tended to overreact. Ask the women who broke up with him how he took the news. I tend to agree with those who are surprised that he murdered Genny. I have spent the past years wondering what happened. Perhaps Genny learned that he was involved with other women, expressed anger about the betrayal and threatened to expose him. Perhaps she simply did or said something to piss him off. But these are not the type of things which would drive Aaron to pull the trigger intentionally. Perhaps Aaron pulled out a gun for purposes of intimidation and the weapon accidentally discharged. If this is what happened, I can imagine Aaron taking his own life in response to a tragic accident. If it was truly an accident, Aaron knew that the police would try to portray the incident as cold blooded murder. More than four years after this tragedy, I still think of Genny's daughter who must be nearing the completion of high school. I sure hope she is doing as well as might be expected under the circumstances.

This is so sad. I knew and briefly dated Aaron from his days as a bouncer at Lady Janes. He also told me he was an LAPD cop for about 8 years and that his brother is a Glendale Cop can anyone confirm that? My thoughts and prayers go out to both families.
I have known him sense 1975. Never a cop. His brother committed suicide years ago. His name was Bart. He also had an older sister.

Aaron was 47 at the time of the incident. I knew him from the time I was 3 or 4 years old - we grew up together - we were neighbors. He was never a Policeman, nor was his brother. To my knowledge his brother died from Brain Cancer.

I also still think of this horrible incident from time to time, wondering what the heck went wrong. I know he had a difficult childhood, but that doesn't warrant killing someone. It was a senseless loss of lives no matter what happened. I pray that Genny's daughter is doing well and has found a way to escape the pain of losing her mother at such a young age.

Blessings to all

I will still look up this scumbag in hell.

He tortured and then murdered this mother who was my friend.

Then, he cowardly took his own life rather than allow us to run voltage through his petty veins.

His victim was in my house, in La Canada, not long before this day. I have beautiful photos of this woman who a day before had obtained a protective order against this scumbag.

When I get to hell, because that is where I will go to look for him, I will turn the flames directly upon him for eternity.

although the many who say "we were not there and will never know what happened", just to clarify, the immediate family knows exactly what happened. It was documented by Genny herself who left abundant recordings for months (pictures, videos, and photos of emails and threatening messages). She was afraid and that is why she was documenting his actions. She filed a restraining order. She was realizing the dangers all too late because unfortunately, she was trying to deal with him without involving her family. All of the conversations/arguments and issues leading up to that Friday morning tell the whole story down to the last message from Aaron begging to meet with her at 10am because he had something VERY IMPORTANT to tell her leading her on to feel some sense of closure from his harassment. This was pre-meditated and he went with the intent. That is why he locked the door behind him. He knew what he was going to do to her and himself. Of course, the family is not going to dish out the details for obvious reasons, but it is clearly a case of Aaron, who was renting a room at the house where Genny lived, becoming obsessed with Genny which resulted in him having to move out. And where he continued to harass Genny. He wanted a relationship with Genny and felt anger that she did not. He was obviously disturbed and self centered. He was selfish and cowardly to take away a young girls mother.
My little cousin lost her mother. Genny who was a wonderful, devoted mother whose life revolved around her daughter.... She was a beautiful person inside and out and is missed terribly.
