LBUSD should have kept the cost of the special election. I say no to further tax increases.

I already voted NO (mail in vote). I refuse to give more money to an organization that can't prove that it will help. Students scores on standardized testing has fallen year after year after year. Why throw more money at a program that hasn't shown that it can improve.

Vote NO

I just voted NO. I am tired of being taxed to death, now the state is taking another 10% out of my paycheck. I will vote NO to any tax increase of any kind regardless for who it's for. You cannot continue on levying a tax on an existing tax! Oh, just got my property tax statement,$300 is going to the community colleges and unified school districts. Enough is enough!

The Devils Partnership between our elected officials, TALB, and the LBUSB have ONLY one thing on their agenda....UNION pay, perks, and pensions.

It is certainly a tragic time to be a American kid who wants a decent education. They aren't even a consideration in Long Beach or California.

When I was a kid and we went on vacation, we kids were given a certain amount to spend. When it was gone, it was gone, no more money for the rest of the vacation. Sorry, tax guzzlers, the vacation is over.

However, I would be willing to bet that there are still enough people at the polls who are naive enough to think that money will solve all of the districts problems, that it will pass. Hope I lose that bet.

Sorry Hon. The posters on this thread aren't Stupid enough to buy your smelly load of dishonesty AGAIN. We know that the Lowenthal Legislature squandered the money which should be used to educate our children.

The question is whether we will be Stupid enough to put up with more of the same.

Vote YES! Many teachers will be jobless if this measure does not pass, sadly, over less than a hundred dollars a year.

"Dad, can I have another hundred dollars? I already spent the first hundred you gave me on cd's, fast food and dope. I know that you got lots of bucks, so just hand over some more. I'll find a way to spend all of that, too." Sound familiar?

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Taurus

If your goals are fairly modest in the short term, they are achievable and you're likely to get some praise for achievements along the way. If you aim too high too quickly, others might not take you seriously or think you're being uppity and you could come unstuck. It's all a question of attitude and approach. There are contradictory influences over the next ten days but there could also be good luck coming your way.
