Too bad Reggie would turn their ahsss down in a second! I think they caught Bibby back when he was having financial problems, otherwise..........
If they were smart (not Shaka) maybe they could try to lure in Paul Westphal. He is an ex-Trojan and would probably be the biggest name they possibly could get.
Worst hire ever!
You would never see Duke,Kansas, Louiville,INDIANA,Kentucky ever giving Steve Alford a head coaching job .I doubt if they would give him a comped ticket.
I guess in the end it comes down to who wanted the job and the only coach who wanted the UCLA job was that scumbag con artist Steve (Lavin) Alford. Do you really believe that this is a good hire, now don't give me that let's wait and see bs, no one would ever say let's wait and see if we had hired Pitino. This was a desperate hire that has descecrated my Bruins Storied BB program......Go Bruins!

UCLA names New Mexico Head Coach Steve Alford as their man. Okay, Brew In is happy again. I will pop open a a few brews over his!!!
I think he may be just what the doctor ordered! Though like the Jim Mora hire we will have to wait to see what materializes, but I will give AD Guerrero props on this one!
Sorry haters, Go Bruins!!!!!!!!!!
If the Bruins wanted to hire a real coach they could have called on me! Remember I own UCLA! They could learn a lot from me on how to win and about tradition. I would do it for only 1 million per game! Just my name alone would fill up the morgue known as Pauley Pavillion.

I had kicked that name around, but Trojans I know don't want him. They want someone younger, who's still in the game and hasn't been sitting on the sidelines for the past couple of years.
FYI, just as with being a U.S. marine, you're never an "ex-Trojan".
When the Trojans find their man, they will know. We are not like the (B)ruins who had to scramble to try and save public face because they kept being turned down by Mid-Major coaches who do not think much of that ONCE proud (B)ruin program of yesteryear!

In addition to that, the (B)ruins have had so many transfers and kids leaving town on the fastest plane or bus, that they sensed the same thing happening to their new recruits and what will be left of their current team, that that had to salvage a hire right away... HaHa

You're right CT, it's very embarrassing to be a Bruin right now, we certainly look more desperate than ever with that lousy hire of Steve Alford. I think my days of being a Bruin over....I want to be a Trojan and experience what it's like to be a winner and a heterosexual.

Chris Foster of the Times was on with Travis Rogers this morning and they were laughing at foolish Bruin fans who think the UCLA job is up there with Duke, Kentucky, Louisville & the like. As they put it, "It's still a good job. Just not a great job."

Oh man, that Louisville injury yesterday was a bummer!!

That's why I never follow the advice of several guys who have told me I'm nuts for paying for PPV fights. "You should stream it for free!"

Yeah, right!! The $50 is well worth not getting a lot of shit on my computer!!

Heard that Roma Downey & her hub said that she "had to play Mary, because they just couldn't find anyone else."

PLEASE!! Enjoyed the series, but that remark made me lose all respect for them. People putting on a show about scripture shouldn't be so full of themselves.

It doesn't matter what these trOJan fan radio meatheads think, just like it doesn't matter what you think...what matters is UCLA got a coach with huge balls, and not afraid to swim with the big fish, like Shaka Stupix and the other fool who prefer to be kings of a fish bowl...like Steve Alford said when asked what motivated him to accept the job "it was those 4 letters, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to coach at a prestigious university" and I think he also said, "with a basketball tradition like no other"...don't hate cuz everyone you have offered has said "HELL NO!!! MR. AD please sign me to another 10 years!!! I don't any part of that USC nighmae!!!!" LMFAO!!!

Yah, I think USC fans are even more delusional, although I will give this much, you TRIED to bring your once proud winning tradition back to South Central, too bad you got caught with your hands in the coookie jar!! and all that success, is ALL TAINTED like another trOJan's homeruns Mr Cheater hinself Mark McGuirre.

Ya I agree my Bruin Brotha. I know you would have hired anyone with big balls, but is he a good hire? We both know the answer is NO!...Oh what shame Steve Alford has brought to a once proud BB program. His own Indiana Hoosiers would not hire him they passed on Alford three times...Oh how dreary it is when we Bruins eat the food from Indiana's garbage bag.....Go Bruins!

Because he said it makes it so?! LOL!!!

As I said before, what else is he going to say about a school for which he's just agreed to work?!

"Well, I'm going to UCLA because they've got a mediocre program and I like the weather in Southern California."

Also funny that when a UCLA coach says something with which he agrees, he takes the words as GOLDEN.

However, Mora says "One win is nice, but it won't really mean anything until we've strung a few together" and the fool acts as if they just won an NC when they beat 'SC for only the second time in 14 years!!

His hypocrisy even extends to UCLA coaches! LOL!!!
