I've got loads of info on this woman and her daughter, who acts on her behalf in sales and representing the so-called kennel. they use a lot of fake names so if you want to buy or sell a dog INSIST ON SEEING A DRIVERS LICENSE FOR IDENTIFCATION!!!!!!!
Many people have been victims of their fraud.
I urge ANYONE who has a complaint against them to put the entire incident into writing and send to the ACK and UKC compliance departments (adresses on www.akc.org and www.ukcdogs.org ).

I have had dealings with these people via the internet inquiring about coming to see the Kennel she has LOL!!!!! I was threatened by her telling me that I was from some other website that sells Akita's. I have no idea what she was talking about, I was inquiring about going to see the Kennel if I am going to pay 2500.00 for a flippin dog I am going to see the Kennel first!! So needless to say I didn't buy a dog from her. So BUYER BEWARE SHE IS A CON ARTIST. Its a wonder she even places her phone # for people to call. LIES, she is unbelieveable and needs to be stop so if there are any suggesting please post I am all for it!!!!!!!!!

I put "bulldog" in quotation marks because that is what we thought we were getting! Instead I think we have a mix with a boxer. This litter was supose to be UKC registered, but the UKC wouldn't let us register him. They said in his pictures he didn't have the bulldog qualifications. I've seen the other litters and they look like real bulldogs. Amazing how they are all AKC registered. I'm not saying this is a scam, but make sure you look into what you are buying. Do as much research as you can!!!! His "father" looked great, but his mother was nowhere to be seen. She mysteriously "ran away" or was "kidnapped" per Karen. Sac Bulldogs has some great looking dogs and they will let you go see them before you purchase!!

I was just informed today about this person and I am selling my new litter to some of the people she scammed. I take it very personal that someone whould do that. I think that the buyer SHOULD go to see the kennel and be able to see the mom & dad dogs of the litter. It's people like that that give breeders that love what they do (like me) a bad name. No, your gut instincts are telling you right. We bought a puppy from Karen in April, and it turned out four months later that our puppy was a pit mix. When we started suspecting that he was not a bulldog (he has a snout and a narrow face), I asked her for the papers again since she didn't provide that at the time we picked up the puppy. She got all defensive and angry and even left me nasty emails and voicemails. We filed a police report against her. What she is doing is not right. We can't believe we paid nearly $2k for a pitbull. Please write a letter to the AKC, Better Business Bureau, newspapers...anyone who would listen. She needs to be penalized for her crime!

According to Karen, our dog's birthday was on February 23rd. We picked him up when he was 4 weeks old (we were excited to have him, and she said she was just as glad to let him go since she was tired from all the other puppies she had). He was from Mojo and Makum's litter. Is that who your dog was from too? I guess it's kinda silly because it wouldn't matter anyway--the dog is not a bulldog. Maybe he came from one of the bulldogs, but he's definitely not a purebred like what we purchased. I would like to share pictures with you. In fact, if you or anyone bought a dog from the Mojo and Makum litter, I would love to hear from you...

BTW, if anyone bought a puppy from Pork Chop's litter around the same time frame, the puppies supposedly had water in the lungs and a short leg (according to her vet). I bet she sold those puppies at full price too. Sad. This woman is a CON and THIEF!

Karen lives in ESCALON, not Modesto and most of the addresses and phone numbers she uses either DO NOT EXIST or are linked to her aliases.
You can contact me directly at [e-mail] or at [e-mail] for assistance in filing complaints and networking with other victims. I have loads of info to share with you. I'm also going to set up a meeting date this week in the Sac area to get everyone together- strength in numbers, as they say.
In the meantime PLEASE write down your entire experience (using only facts) with her, START TO FINISH including any names she used, phone numbers, addresses, registration or other 'quality' information that influenced your decision to purchase- include dates when you can or write "on or about xxxxxx date" in your statements.
When these are completed, forward them to the Escalon Police Department, Attn: Sergeant James Atkinson, Ref: TheBullDogPlace/Karen Tripp 1855 Coley Ave, Escalon CA 95320. Srgt Atkinson has asked that all submissions be in writing in a format easy to follow (try chronological order from where you first saw the advertisement to contact with Karen to purchase and problems exp afterwards)- remember that it is the district attorney's office that makes the decision to prosecute NOT the police- let's make their job easier by complying with their request. Keep a copy for yourself.
If you are also a victim of any type of harassing or stalking behavior due to your transaction (or refusal to complete a transaction) with this individual, and are concerned for your safety or that of your family, you can file a restraining order for civil harassment in your local civil court.
I strongly urge anyone with a similar complaint to follow through all available legal channels- her tactic in the past has been to wear you down and get you to drop the complaints. Then, nothing is recorded or done.
