I'm just curious what the Mayor has to say about Policeman using the Police Cars to pick their' children up from school. I always thought
that Pediastrians were not allowed in Police Cars for personal rides, etc. Seems like this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Not counting
they take the cars home. Boy, when Mose was Mayor this kind of stuff did not go on.

The police officers have always taken cars home if they live within the city. There are other stipulations put into place that allow for them to take the cruisers home. These guys are on call 24/7. Id rather them have the cars at home than have to go to the station to get their car and gear.

I find it funny you want to complain about the cops taking there crusier home but, yet it is easier to respond from home since they are on call 24/7. Have some respect for these men. They are out putting their lives on the line for us missing holidays and speacial events with their families to make sure we live in a safe town. If you think you can do a better job then go apply and become a cop. Until then don't complain about how they so their job.

OKAY, I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THEM TAKING THE CARS HOME SINCE THEY ARE "SUPPOSEDLY" WORKING 24/7. " LMBO " BUT WHAT ABOUT THEM PICKING THEIR' CHILDREN UP FROM SCHOOL? SEEMS TO ME LIKE THIS IS A CONFLICT WITH INSURANCE. SEEMS TO ME LIKE IT IS A LAWSUIT READY TO HAPPEN. AND I KNOW OF ONE THAT PICKS HIS' CHILD UP BEFORE ALL THE REST OF US PARENTS ARE EVEN ALLOWED IN THE SCHOOL. HE IS NO BETTER THAN THE REST OF US. HE SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT JUST LIKE US! PLUS CARRYING A GUN IN
SCHOOL!!!!!

He's a F*%*$*^ police officer. I don't think carrying a gun in school is the problem. Again, to you "parents" on here. Instead of raising your children to be pu$$ies and handling gutless disputes on TOPIX, why not take your complaint to city hall? What insurance lawsuit is on the verge of happening? Him putting his kids in a cruiser is a lawsuit? From who? Do you think he would sue the city for having them in the car? Or are you retarded enough to think that the other vehicle would sue the city's insurance because he had his kids in the car? You are more retarded than the initial writer on this post. Your kids are hopelessly set in a lifetime of bitching and vaginal behavior on how to solve a problem thanks to you. YOU are whats wrong with the world today..

My apologies, you ARE the initial poster. So you're retardation grows with each post. Even worse news for your kids. The longer they're around you the dumber and more hopeless they will become. Man I hope you're a woman and not a "man." If you're a "man" that makes it doubly worse.

As a LEOWife I totally agree with you, Neighbor!
A patrol car is not to be used as a personal taxi for officers families, it is to be used for Work, like transporting criminals to jail, making vehicle stops, going on calls, and patrolling the community,it is for the officers use to protect and serve the citizens !! I live in Nicholas Co. And I am so sick of certain officers using their cruisers for personal use, taking their kids to sporting events, going to the gym, and taking their kids to Drs appointments, dentist appointments. My husband has Never done this and will Never do this!! Unless it was a dire emergency to the hospital, but I beleive he would still use his Personal vehicle, Not His Marked Patrol Vehicle!!!
If you are wondering how I found this subject in your topix it's because I am sick of it here, do I Googled " Police officers who use their patrol vehicles for personal use in WV" and that's how I found you!
I hope and pray that these officers will wise up and stop this before they put their families in harms way!!!!!!

I will clarify one thing a Police Officer has every right to carry his Duty Weapon in a School, even if he is off duty, my husband works for the State and he is on duty 24/7. The only place that I know he can not carry his Duty Weapon is the Court Room, and they are checked in and locked up.

All I can say is MMMMm You are the Idiot with a filthy mouth! Cops are no better than anyone else. Millions of people put their' lives on the line working more dangerous jobs. Working on the Railroad, in Coal Mines, etc.

There are very few good cops. How about good old Pete Bowen; how'd ya like your' kid to be in a car with him. lmbo

And a lot of jobs are 24/7 and if they were extra hours they are provided overtime. Usually a policeman is someone that was picked on when they were a kid and they become cops to have (so to speak) some kind of power trip.

What a joke.

"Neighbor", when did i accuse someone of having a dirty mouth? My language shows my frustration at your retardation and the fact that you are probably subjecting it to a child. There ARE more dangerous jobs. Coal mining, crab fishing, etc. I tell ya what dumba$$, call a crabber in an emergency. You're either a pu$$y of a man that takes to complaining on Topix instead of handling it like a real man OR you're a bitchy old hag that is just waiting to be offended by something or bitch about someone. Either way, you're a douche. So again, if you think you have a legit complaint, even though I see it as you just being a stupid f*ck, why not go to city hall. Let your concern be heard? Youve yet to answer that

Hillbilly,
I will have to agree with You when it comes to the average man in Vietnam being 21 and doing a Man's job and not being recognized like they should have been. But I have to agree with neighbor, cops are not better than anyone else out there working on a job. Anyone can die on the job and anyone can be a hero. I do not think these cops are on 24/7.
