Something that this article does not mention is that the International Club at Crater High School was created and is led by Spanish teacher Darcy Rogers. Darcy is new to Crater this year, but she has already made a huge impact on the lives of students and faculty alike. She has inspired the International Club members to spend countless hours outside of the regular school day investigating the situation in Darfur, putting together outstanding interactive multi-media presentations, and finally coming to classrooms (mine being just one!)to share this with their schoolmates. It's amazing and thrilling to see the level of understanding and passion they have for this subject-- and this would not have happened without the efforts of the indefatigable Ms. Rogers.
