I agree. A little understanding DOES go a long way. Mental illnesses are usually as unpreventable to the sufferer than most physical illnesses. Not only that, but bipolar is largely PHYSICAL! So is schizophrenia. A LOT of what was thought to be purely a MENTAL disease years ago they've found have physical roots.

People should learn from past results rather than repeating them over and over again. It does go a long way.

Just don't have any mental illness on the Harbor if you have private insurance...only treatment for those on Medical assitance through the RSN..

else-wise you may have to travel as far as Tacoma to be able to get an appointment with a psychiatrist (the ones that can give necessary meds to stabilize the brain chemicals)

It's very tragic that she suffers from this. It can be quite distressing for friends and family - one moment the person's happy and hyperactive, and the other moment she's on the verge of committing suicide!

Understanding does go a long way, but not only when it comes to mental health...a little understanding could solve many of the world's problems if you stop to think about it.

I agree. Thankfully people are becoming more aware about mental health.

I should add, it's also good more people are finding it acceptable to seek therapy.

It is terrible when a loved one or someone close to you suffers from an afflication like this. Moods can swing so quickly, and so completely it's a lot of mental anguish and tryingt o stay positive is really hard...

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Aries

Be very wary about mixing love and money today, because they could curdle and leave a nasty taste in your mouth. Someone might rip you off, or so it seems to you. And 'seems' is the operative word because, with the Moon in sensitive Cancer, you're very subjective and emotional, strongly influenced by your feelings. There is also a chance that someone you trust is playing fast and loose with your heart, although you won't be certain of that just yet.
