"Richard Root, 62, who rents a room in a boardinghouse on the Central Islip property, said he didn't see any signs of the horses being mistreated."

"Emaciated? Nah, I just thought they were models", said Richard.

These animals were not "rescued", they were confiscated.

Once again, short on details and fast on accusations; then lifestyle police have come to take it all away fromt he "bad" people.

Give me a break. I am so tired of this bleeding heart garbage. Where is the proof that these animals were in any real danger.

Much more likely some neighbor complained about noise or smell just to get rid of them.

Long Island really s/ucks !

this property is desired by the Town of Islip for developement and the planing department has been trying for years to close this boarding house (legal multi family residence)
wait and see which developer comes up with the property--Gargano? Calvossa?
this is an attempt to create a history of problems at the property. can anyone say Fairwood Gardens reduex?

What a goofball. Actually, I think you have it wrong. People like you belong in Queens. Horses belong on Long Island. Long Island has the most horses per square mile in New York State and our equestrian history is one of the richest in the Nation.

Interesting. But who knows if the horses were REALLY mistreated? The only way to debunk your conspiracy theory would be to see images of the horses.

This man owes money to everyone in the horse world. He has left horses behind at many a bording facility on Long Island not comming to feed them or paying for their care.

Glad the horses were saved from him and his wife and his one son jr. They are all guilty. This had gone on for so long and I am glad something was finally done. I just feel they need to charge the other so not just Mr. gandolfo.

Ah, you must be part of the lifestyle patrol.

Accusations are not evidence/proof.

Recommend you squeeze out the big pimple that's between your ears and get over yourself.

People like YOU deserve to live like the horses do.
In all the filth and mud.
So we have the most horses per square mile in NY?
That says to me that there are way to many.
They stink up the nieghborhood. Attract bugs and vermin.
You cant play fetch with them.
I never heard anyone say "Im gonna go take the horse for a walk".
And its people like you that think your smelly horses have more rights that the guy next door.
You ever pick up after your horse after it sh?it/s in the street??
I think not.
