Cops: Man killed aunt while stealing drug cash

Kenneth Hubbard went into his aunt's bedroom to steal money for drugs , but when she unexpectedly awoke, he strangled her, Suffolk police said Sunday. via Newsday.com

I relate Brentwood to a childhood friend who you grew up with and had fun times and good memories. Unfortunately after not seeing that friend for a number of years you come to find out that the years have not been kind to him. You learn of his drug use, long rap sheet, little to no employment. While your life has been stable and prosperous his has fallen by his own hand. Brentwood is no different. It has had a long history as a hispanic town. Unfortunately just like America we have seen an explosion of Latin Americans in this country, many illegal. With Brentwood having a large base of hispanics already it was easy for them to migrate to LI as it offers a more rural setting to the city and a better school system. Everyone who has grown up in Brentwood and returns today after being away for a time comes away with a great sadness. The same sadness you have for your childhood friend
whom you cannot change. Lets remember the past fondly and feel the sadness for Brentwood that has become a third world town.
