Hmmm, if this guy didn't overstay his visa (thereby breaking US law), he might be alive and undergoing treatment for his liver cancer in his home country of China. Then again, maybe not - maybe he would already be dead from liver cancer. All choices have consequences. He chose to overstay, and thus the consequnece of being put into a detention center. But, let's make some dough off of this, right CLU and widow? Why is it that the CLU always represents those who break the law?

Hey come on folks, you should all be aware that any one, I mean anyone, whether lawfully or unlawfully residing here can sue anyone for any allegation of loss at anytime in our country! The Trial Lawyers lobbyist association pumps millions into Washington Democrats coffers to ensure them of this privilege and the ACLU will always sink to the occasion to help with the rights of illegal immigrants! Lawsuits are big business and billions are trasnsfered every year!

He should have been deported. But as soon as the state took him into custody, he became the responsibility of the state. He no longer had the ability and/or choice to make any decision for himself...let alone leave the country. The lawsuit is legit and justified.

Sorry, I am starting to think that non-citizens should not have the same set of rights as citizens, as they all too frequently enlist the traitorous aclu to help themselves to the taxpayer's money.

...shame, you were going really good there till you let that "traitorous" slip.

(now here's the part where you call me a "LIB").

How about "occasionally traitorous"?

Imperfectly, I work to avoid name calling. It spares me the shame.

screw off, seems the only ones that can sue these days are illegals, send them all packing, i'll have medical problems the rest of my life because of inept care but I am an american so to sue is just about imposible, with the laws on the books as they are, unless you die forget it
I agree. Only illegals can sue these days. We should get angry and communicate this message via the internet using terrible grammar.

Time for everyone to remember that these crimials would not be able to proceed with their money-grabbing lawsuits without the support of outfits like the aclu and the like. Next time you have the opportunity, why not take a verbal shot at the crimes and criminals that get aclu support?

America... the land of oppurtuntiy.
Morris Dees.... what a complete piece of two-legged trash! I envision the opportunity for an "open season" on people like this. America will be a much better place without scum like this.
