A day after the school board in Providence, R.I., voted to send termination notices to all of the city's 1,926 teachers, Mayor Angel Taveras sought to calm the uproar by saying that an "overwhelming majority" would not, in fact, lose their jobs.

Teahcers, If they were saying we want you back next year, they would be sending you a contract to sign.
What they sent you was a termination notice.
I would be looking to relocate and they will be in deep do-do when school starts.
