Teachers to appeal mass firings at Rhode Island high school

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The entire staff of teachers fired in a radical attempt to improve one of the worst performing high schools in Rhode Island will appeal their dismissals to school authorities, the head of the teachers union said today.

Appeal away.
It's about time that the educational authorities put their foot down.
Attention teachers union!
You don't call the shots.
Attention Teachers! You're paid to do a job. STFU and do your job.

School departments don't want and don't need your input.
Shut up and do the job. And by the way, merit testing for advancement is next.
You want to claim you are professionals, then act like professionals and take more pride in your work than in your fu#&!ng union.
