greenville needs a long john and hardee's then we would have two of everything in the county almost. instead of having to have what the other city in the county has why don't someone get something here that we don't already have?

A "Topix" that is legitamate! I'd like to see us have something different too, instead of the two of everything. Arby's would be great or Chick Fil A. I'm just afraid if we brought in a big chain, like Texas Roadhouse (although nice) it would run the smaller nice restaurants out of business like Philly's and The Purple Onion. What do you all think?

Competition doesn't run people out of business,
bad food and bad service does that.

joe's crab shack. The crabs could be supplied locally!

Chik Fil A is pretty costly, especially for a family. It would be a change though...6 days a week.

That is true. Also there are different things you can get better at different restaurants. For example, if I wanted a ribeye sandwhich I would go to Phillys. For a sweet potato I would go to Purple Onion (they are the size of a small child). For herpes I would go to Huddle House.
aw jeez Thanks, now I've spewed beer all over the place.

Get a decent steak house. Something like Logan's Roadhouse, or Outback. It'd do the county some good.

Before any decent chain restaurant will come to Greenville, we must first go wet.

That is true. Also there are different things you can get better at different restaurants. For example, if I wanted an overpriced sandwich I would go to Phillys. For a watered down beer and a burnt burger I would go to Purple Onion (they are crisper than a dried cow patty). For pill heads waitresses who feel the need to sit down in your booth while they take your order, I would go to Huddle House.
